Counting Crows announce first UK tour in over 4 years
Date Posted: 23/01/13
After a gap of more than four years, US rockers Counting Crows have announced they are returning to the UK.
The news is bound to have fans of the band planning cheap UK breaks at one of the five cities in which the group will be performing, many of whom will have waited several years for a chance to see the band live.
The tour gets underway at the O2 Academy in Birmingham on Friday, April 19th before taking in Bristol, London and Manchester, with the final gig coming at the O2 Academy in Glasgow on April 26th.
Commenting on the tour, Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz said it was "hard to explain" why it has been so long since the band came to the UK.
"The truth is sometimes life just gets in the way and, before you know it, it's been a few years," he said. "Personally, I'm just glad we're going back."
Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 25th, at 9am.
