Celebrate the Feast of St George
Date Posted: 28/03/14
On April 21st (two days before the actual day), Trafalgar Square will be celebrating St George’s Day with plenty of English fun and tradition.
The celebrations will be inspired by the 13th century national day of feasting feature traditional English fare, live music and entertainers such as morris dancers.
There’ll be an English farmer’s market, selling quintessential British treats such as hog roast, homemade pies, cakes and freshly squeezed lemonade.
In Cook’s Corner, visitors will be able to watch live demonstrations from leading London chefs as they cook up English dishes from past and present.
There’ll also be loads of activities for the kids with a marquee staging craft workshops, storytelling sessions and puppet shows, and an outdoor games area.
Make a short break of your trip to celebrate St George’s day and book yourself into a London hotel to see what other English traditions you can experience.
