Brownstock Festival hits Essex
Date Posted: 30/07/12
Brownstock Festival, a family-run event held every year at Morris Farm in Chelmsford, Essex, is returning for its seventh iteration.
Music fans should book short breaks to the farm between Friday, August 31st and Monday, September 3rd to attend the exciting festival, which is headlined by Labrinth, Grandmaster Flash and Nero.
Supporting them is an array of acts, including Zane Lowe, Toddla T, Doorly, Magistrates, Missing Andy, Sterling Signs and British Intelligence, to name a few. The Sunday day headliners are still to be named.
A Tribe Called Quest were originally on the bill, but due to illness to member Phife Dawg, they were forced to pull out.
Before the festival there will be a pre-party at The Queen of Hoxton in London with unsigned battles competing for a place on the main stage of the festival.
Brownstock originally began when the Brown family had a house party in 2005 and invited 100 friends, since then it has grown in size and opened to the public, with thousands of people turning out each year.
