Bristol to Host Classical Music Festival

Classical music fans will have good reason to book Bristol hotels this summer with the city set to hold a week-long festival being billed as 'The Bristol Proms'.
The event will be hosted by the Bristol Old Vic, based at the city's Theatre Royal, will see a number of performances from top musicians brought to life with the help of cutting-edge digital technology, reports thisisbristol.co.uk.
A spokesman told the news provider that the festival will feature "a host of world-beating artists helping to recover the spontaneity of live classical performance and bend it into exciting new shapes".
The artists will play in the Theatre Royal's recently refurbished auditorium, with full details of the programme due to be announced next Monday (March 4th).
Meanwhile, the Bristol Old Vic will once again be hosting a number of outdoor productions this summer, including The Boy Who Cried Wolf and other stories from Michael Morpurgo's Aesop's Fables, which will be staged in King Street from July 13th to September 1st.
