Brighton Fringe to rival its Scottish counterpart?
Date Posted: 26/04/12
The English rival to the Edinburgh Fringe, the Brighton Fringe, will host hundreds of shows next month, ranging from theatre and comedy to music and even cabaret.
Fans of Britain's innovative, diverse and creative talent should book Brighton hotels between Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 27th if they are interested in seeing what the festival has on offer.
Two key highlights will be absurdist sketch show Bad Bread: 10 Things to Sniff Before You Die, and Acting and Creating a Character, a theatrical workshop held at the Marlborough Theatre.
Each individual performance or workshop has the potential to educate and entertain in equal measure, and with 675 events taking place, there's bound to be plenty to satisfy even the most diverse individual tastes.
The Brighton Fringe began in 1967 and it has grown to attract a million visitors to the city in May, with thousands of participants and 3,475 individual performances.
Even if you're on a budget, you can head to the city and attend one of the 155 free events.
