Birmingham to get One Man, Two Guvnors Run

This May will see the Birmingham Hippodrome host One Man Two Guvnors for a short run of performances.

The touring version of the play, penned by Richard Bean and adapted from Carlo Goldoni's The Servant of Two Masters, is set to hit the Hippodrome from May 26th.

Scheduled for evening performances on each day of its run as well as matinees on the Wednesday and Saturday of the week, it will be leaving the venue after a final performance there on May 31st.

It's part of a wider tour of the National Theatre play, which more than one million people have seen to date.

Nick Hytner will direct the production, which features Grant Olding's songs and tells the story of a skiffle band member who gets the sack.

Birmingham hotels would make a wonderful place to stay for anyone looking to head to this play while it's in the city.

The original version of The Servant of Two Masters was penned in the 18th century.
