At the Drive-In announce one-off headline gig

American post-hardcore legends At the Drive-In have announced an exciting one-off, post-Reading and Leeds festivals gig at London's Brixton Academy.
Fans of the El Paso, Texas band should book London hotels for Tuesday, August 28th to attend the show, which was mysteriously teased at over Twitter in the last week or so.
Fronted by the afro-haired vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala, At the Drive-In rose to fame in the 1990s with their intense and erratic live shows that were backed up by material from the classic album Relationship of Command.
Hits such as One Armed Scissor and Rolodex Propaganda earned them several notable festival slots, as well as the opportunity to perform on television shows such as Jools Holland.
They split at the peak of their popularity in 2001, citing exhaustion and artistic differences as contributing to the demise. However, they announced their reunion to play Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the US earlier this year.
Immediately before the Brixton date, the band are headlining the NME/Radio 1 stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals over the August bank holiday weekend.
