Date Posted: 26/04/12
Classic British rockers Asia are to celebrate their 30th anniversary with a worldwide tour, which includes seven dates in the UK at the end of this year.
The tour kicks off at the Tavistock Wharf on Saturday, December 15th before heading to Holmfirth, Edinburgh, Salisbury, Birmingham and Manchester.
Fans of Asia should book London hotels for Saturday, December 22nd to catch the band on its final UK date at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire.
The supergroup is comprised of members of Yes, King Crimson and ELP. They first made a name for themselves in 1982, when they released their debut album. It went on to become the best selling album worldwide that year.
Along with the world tour, they are also set to release a highly anticipated new album entitled XXX on Monday, July 2nd as well as a new edition of their debut self-titled album and two DVDs.
"We wanted to recapture the energy of the first album, Asia has always been about great songs, fantastic musicianship and I am sure fans of the first album will fall in love with XXX," said guitarist Steve Howe.
