Date Posted: 13/07/12

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber is searching for an actor to play the lead role in his forthcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar in the ITV1 television show Superstar.
Fans of the musical should book London theatre breaks for Friday, September 21st to catch the winner in action in the starring role at The O2 Arena on the first date of the show's tour.
It then heads to Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham, Belfast, Liverpool and Nottingham, before finishing at Sheffield's Motorpoint Arena on Sunday, October 21st.
In this weekend's episode of Superstar, the final 30 contestants are to be invited to Lord Lloyd Webber's villa in Majorca, as he tries to whittle down the competitors even further.
Among the other judges on the talent show are former Jesus Christ Superstar Jason Donovan, Spice Girl Mel C, actress, writer and comedian Dawn French and casting director David Grindrod.
The winner of the show will be joined on stage by the likes of radio host Chris Moyles, who will play King Herod, and musical comedian Tim Minchin, who takes on the role of Judas Iscariot.
