Amsterdam ‘Embracing Bohemian Travel’
Date Posted: 18/06/14
Amsterdam appears to be a top choice for a European city break among travellers hoping to escape from glamorous and glitzy spots in favour of a more laidback, bohemian trip.
The editors at LUXE City Guides highlighted Amsterdam’s popularity as a “village-vibey creative hub”, where travellers can still enjoy high-end culture, cuisine and art without a pretentious atmosphere.
The Dutch capital has become an “epicentre of the hipster influx”, according to these travel experts, who noted that the most popular nightspots are those that are “edgy and underground”, rather than posh and chic.
During the days, there is plenty to enjoy in Amsterdam, with world-class art galleries like the outstanding Rijksmuseum, the poignant Anne Frank House, the interactive Science Centre NEMO, and the stunning Royal Palace among the highlights.
Amsterdam has long been renowned for its bike-friendly attitude, and one of the best ways to experience the city is to hire a bicycle and pedal your way from one spot to another.
