Alan Davies returns to live stand-up comedy with UK tour
Date Posted: 30/01/12
Alan Davies has announced that he is making a return to stand-up comedy in the UK following a successful tour of Australia last year.
The Jonathan Creek and QI star started out entertaining audiences with his jokes and anecdotes in 1988, before moving into mainstream television. He also appeared in the teenage comedy film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.
It is more than ten years since his last stand-up tour in this country and his new show Life is Pain will revisit his unique style of story narration.
Davies will kick things off in August with a season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, before he then visits venues around the country, including a show at the New Alexandra theatre in front of those booking Birmingham hotels on Thursday September 27th.
The comedian will then go on to appear in Bournemouth, Sheffield, Belfast, Glasgow, Newcastle, London and Brighton among other destinations.
