Aladdin enthralls in Blackpool's winter panto
Date Posted: 08/12/14
Few places are more magical environments to spend the festive period in than the Blackpool Tower, spiritual home of ballroom dancing and the holiday memories of many a grown up child.
Until mid-January, it will also be spreading performance cheer in the form of Aladdin's Winter Panto, which is currently playing at the prestigious venue.
We're not talking a strict adaptation from the Disney film though - this is a winter circus and pantomime combined, meaning that there really is something for all the family from spills and thrills to the classic "He's behind you!" antics. Comedy capers, jaw-dropping feats and unique stunts, this is the show that has it all.
Helping out Aladdin will be his fantastic assistants Mooky and Mr Boo, who will be performing a number of the awe-inspiring leaps and bounds aboard the Magic Carpet, culminating in a world-famous water finale.
Blackpool Tower's spectacular winter circus events have been immensely popular since they first opened to the public in 1894. They have continued every year since, even in spite of two World Wars threatening the nation.
Seating for Aladdin will remain unreserved aside from a ring of VIP premium ring-side places, in another of the Tower's finest traditions.
The entirety of the family is therefore sure to appreciate Aladdin's antics, as well as those of the resident clowns Mooky and Mr Boo, who will be entertaining furiously throughout the 90-minute performance.
If you want to rub the Genie's lamp and see if your wishes will come true, why not head along to Blackpool this Christmas for a truly exciting and splendid festive weekend? There's enough going on in town to ensure that you have enough to do for two days or more.
