out of 5Had a 2 night stay in the Vermont Hotel Although bedrooms in need of upgrade, we had a comfortable bed and all the facillities we needed eg hairdryer, teamaking.The hotel is very handy for the nightlife but is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac so quite peaceful. Had a lovely meal on first night as part of our deal and were pleased to find a bottle of wine was included. All the staff were very friendly and helpful- would recommend it

out of 5We have just returned from a 3 night break in Newcastle - from start to finish the hotel staff were friendly and very, very helpful. Yes the rooms look a little tired but this did not hinder our stay in any way at all, we woke early and went for a dip in the pool which is shallow at one end but big enough to have a swim. The first evening we ate in the Hotel Restaurant and had a lovely meal and not too overpriced for a Hotel Restaurant. During our visit we went to Beamish Museum and the Metro Centre which were the main purpose of our visit and all in all a very very enjoyable weekend shame it had to end.

out of 5Early arrival in City by train. Booked in, lunch @ Italian restaurant on Quayside. Browsed Quayside. Fri night Mick Hucknall concert @ City Hall. Saturday - eastern end of Hadrian's Wall @ South Tyneside including Arbeia Roman Fort.& Catherine Cookson Country Trail. Sunday gentle wander around City sights including Baltic Arts Centre & Quayside. Late afternoon train.

out of 5Just stopped in the Hotel for 1 night. This is the 4th ocassion we have used this hotel and we were once again not dissapointed. We arrived at about 7pm and were in the indoor swimming pool for 7.15 where we spent half an hour before returning to the room. We then went to the restaraunt for dinner which was very good value for money given that we chose the two dine for ?29.99 option.After a fairly good nights sleep we went down for the all inclusive cooked breakfast which was excellent and then packed and left the hotel at about 11am to go to the Metro Ctr where we spent a good few hours to end off our short break.
