Morocco is situated in North Africa and is famed for its long northern coastline, striking Atlas Mountains, southern Sahara Desert, traditional cuisine and mint tea. Visit the colourful capital Marrakech with its lively Souks (markets), striking Koutoubia Mosque and 16th Century Saadian Tombs.

A customer from Tenterden who stayed at 4* Ryad Mogador Essaouira in Essaouira - Morocco wrote this review.

Marrakech was overall very interesting Essaouira was a windy resort. the port was very interesting and so was the main square. We were not keen on Moroccan food.

Marrakech

A customer from Middlesex who stayed at 4* Nassim Hotel in Marrakech - Morocco wrote this review.

Dirty, busy, polluted city with some places of interest, best day was the trip to the Atlas Mountains clean air and plenty of fantastic views Nassim Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms were a good standard. However i wouldn't bother having dinner at the hotel, they did try however i felt they failed on this count I travelled with another woman and we were constantly troubled by the Morrocan men. So i would suggest that you go in a large group or with a guy as you will get less unwanted attention that way. You really do get to see another culture and way of life, however i was happy to land back on British soil and not return.

Holidays in Marrekesh

A customer from BURNTWOOD who stayed at 4* Hotel Myriem's in Marrakech - Morocco wrote this review.

Marrakech is a wonderfull city. The atmosphere is unbelievable and not to be missed. On the down-side,despite the hotel having a bar (per the brochure) there is not a spot of alcohol in sight !!

Weekend in Marrakech

A customer from Cardiff who stayed at 4* Nassim Hotel in Marrakech - Morocco wrote this review.

Lots of people thought we were mad going 'all the way' to Marrakech for just three days, but it's only a 3hr flight and you're in another world! Taxi's are easy to get at the airport. French is the preferred language although we got by with English & lots of gesturing! Hotel was lovely, staff very friendly & helpful. Majority of time was spent around Djemaa el-Fna in the old city. All five senses are assaulted the minute you enter the square - spices, snake charmers, market stalls, fortune tellers. The list is endless - just watch out for the scooters!! The souqs are an experience - be prepared to submit to lots of friendly hustling (although a firm, polite "no, thank you" will generally do the trick) and enjoy the bartering - it's expected! Sunday was spent on an excursion to the Atlas Mountains - a refreshing change from the City's hustle & bustle. We went through our hotel and it worked out cheaper than any we had been offered by a street vendor. It was well organised and good value - £15 per person for a full day out with guide.
