Short Break in Montreux

Zurich is quite compact, so walking around was no problem - and gave the opportunity for plenty of window shopping, eswpecially in the Bahnhofstrasse which is so different (and exxpenive!) than anywhere else. In Montrauex, the free Riviera Pass gives you the chance to traval around the city and the lovely beaches. As we were there for only one night, we were able to see a lot, but did not actually visit anywhere significant. Back to Zurich - a walk along the river, starting at the lake side, is a wonderful experience. There is the scenery, the views of the old city, but if you pick the right tiem, the fun of so many people enjoying the river banks with restaurants, bars, and the chance to go swimming.
