Short Break in Cancun

As we pulled up to the hotel my first thoughts were - 'this isn't what I expected' - how wrong I was! We arrived fairly early in the morning and our room wasn't ready, the receptionist contacted housekeeping and within 1 hour we had checked in to the room. Our room was on the 7th floor, we walked in and we were astounded, it was like being in a palace! The room was extremely spacious, and the decor was very classy. The balcony was fantastic, very private, overlooking the pools and the ocean, the views along the beach were as far as the eye could see. I would have to say the best feature of the room was the bed. It was huge, my partner is over 6" and even he got lost in it! We had a pillow selection menu (so you can imagine how comfy the bed was), we could change our pillows each night and when housekeeping came for the turn down service, they even left a chocolate on your pillow for when you returned to the room. It was the best night's sleep I think I have ever had. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If I go back to Mexico, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
