North Malta
No of Holiday Reviews in this Destination - 5
Northern Malta is rich in rolling hillside, deep valleys and isolated swimming coves. The shallow waters of Mellieha Bay are ideal for water sport enthusiasts. Gozo is steeped in myth and has an impressive citadel, historical Ggantija Temples, baroque churches, excellent diving spots and miles of golden beaches.

A customer from Liverpool who stayed at 4* Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa in Mellieha - Malta wrote this review.
Visited Mellieha in Malta early January for my 40th Birthday. Hotel was lovely but not all of it was open as out of season. Also booked treatments at spa in hotel and therapist did not turn up! Weather made it though as was lovely and sunny, a perfect winter break and excellent value for money. People friendly and food and wine excellent. If returned though think I would go to St Julians as there is more there.

Mellieha, a good place to be, but if you drive there be aware that road signs are very bad or non existent, and the roads themselves are worse. The people are really friendly and they all speak English very well. We often got lost in our hire car, but that added to the fun of it, and we found many places by accident. Reccomend it to anyone, but advise you to rent the car when you get there. The one I rented via the internet was awful.

We stayed in the Maritim Antonine Hotel in Melleiha and it was excellent, facilities great and staff really helpful and very laid back but professional attitude We visited Gozo, Valletta and Medina and had a trip to Sweethaven to see Popeye Village, etc. Packed alot of things in in the short time we were there but managed to have a relaxing time even though we were busy! used the local bus service which was very good and efficient to get around and cheap to use aswell. Bus stop outside Hotel so couldnt have been more easier Thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Superbreak and would not hesitate in using them again or recommending them

A customer from Dromore who stayed at 4* Solana Hotel in Mellieha - Malta wrote this review.
Mellieha was quiet in October, relaxing, safe. Clean and safe sandy beach 20 mins walk down a steep hill. The main street has a variety of restaurants and shops. Recomend Arches on the main street to eat, but expensive. Water sports available and trips to the Blue Lagoon on Comino. Valletta can take an hour by bus, but its a fun, cheap ride. Gozo ferry short distance away by bus.

A customer from Bridgend who stayed at 4* Solana Hotel in Mellieha - Malta wrote this review.
First visit to Malta - what a lovely, easy place to holiday! Everyone speaks English, you drive on the left & an especial warm welcome exists for the British. Maltese people are the sweetest friendliest folk & are well experienced in the tourism industry. For a small island there are lots of places to explore - particularly enjoyed the terracotta soldiers exhibit at the archaeology museum. The Solana Hotel was great - room was spacious = cleaned daily with fresh towels. Disappointment was the lack of views from the verandahs but the roof pool & terrace more than made up for this.
