Melbourne is a cosmopolitan city home to fashionable bars, chic boutiques and a vibrant art scene. For history, walk the Golden Mile home to the magnificent Royal Exhibition Centre and atmospheric Old Melbourne Gaol. Be sure to visit the elegant Chinese, Vietnamese and Greek quarters for delicious cuisine. Wander along the Yarra Riverfront, visit the exquisite botanical gardens or relax in the many cafes hidden in the narrow lanes.

A customer from Superbreak who stayed at 5* The Langham, Melbourne in Melbourne wrote this review.
The Langham Hotel is perfectly situated for tourists visiting Melbourne. Its close proximity to Federation Square means it is the perfect base for sightseeing and easy to get to by public transport, with tram stops only a short walk away. We were immersed in 5star luxury from the minute we pulled up outside - the concierge attended to our bags quickly, reception staff checked us in efficiently and the view from our room was breathtaking - definitely worth paying the upgrade for a river view The hotel bar, although small, was ideal for our needs and the swimming pool with its views overlooking Flinder Street Station and the City skyline certainly kept me motivated during my laps! Melbourne itself is very easy to navigate and the public transport is very easy to use. The free hop-on, hop-off City Circle trams is a must, both to help you get your bearings, and to travel to the various attractions which take your fancy along the way. A short, scenic walk along the river took us to Melbourne's main sporting area where we took tours around the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Rod Laver tennis arena. The MCG Tour was led by such a passionate, sprightly gentleman; it was hard not to become engrossed myself, even though I dont understand the game! All in all, this was a fantastic weekend, and a great way for the family to celebrate my sisters 21st birthday.
