Marrakech ‘the Red City’ lies at the foothills of the striking Atlas Mountains. Founded in 1062, the city is jam-packed with mosques, palaces, museums, elegant squares and beautiful gardens. Capture the culture and lively street entertainment in Djemaa el-Fna Central Square, home to the largest traditional Souk in Morocco.

A customer from Superbreak who stayed at 5* Atlas Medina & Spa in Marrakech (Morocco) wrote this review.
This is a top quality hotel complex with a relaxed open planned atmosphere. It is only a short taxi ride from the busy souks in the Medina and is a good choice for groups. The cosmopolitan furnishings and facilities are of a high standard and the buffet breakfast was well prepared and comprehensive. The hotel is licensed and the half board option is great value. You can help yourself to a top quality buffet that caters for all tastes and appetites! Alternatively there is a good choice of restaurants in the Medina serving traditional food. Le Marrakchi overlooking the Djemaa El Fna is lively and can cater for large groups. Pre-booking is advised. Before hitting the souks visit the Ensemble Artisanal for a price guide and afterwards chill out with a drink in the informal lounge at the Grand Hotel Tazi. If you are planning to go trekking in the picturesque Atlas Mountains in Spring/Autumn take a guide and be prepared for unexpected adverse weather conditions!

A customer from Superbreak who stayed at 5* Es Saadi Gardens and Resort in Marrakech (Morocco) wrote this review.
This is a luxurious and romantic hotel complex only a 20 minute stroll from the exciting bustle of the souks in the Medina. The traditional hotel furnishings and facilities are of a very high standard and the plentiful buffet breakfast can be enjoyed on the patio overlooking the attractive swimming pool. The hotel is licensed and the half board option is great value with top quality local and cosmopolitan dishes and conscientious waiter service. Alternatively there is a good choice of restaurants in the Medina serving traditional food. The Dar Mima hidden down a quiet alley near the Dar Si Said is ideal for couples and small groups. Do a daytime recce and pre-book! During the day the Koutoubia Gardens are a peaceful and picturesque place for a picnic. A visit to the Ensemble Artisanal shopping complex is a good idea if you are planning to do some serious bartering in the souks! For the adventurous a trek in the spectacular Atlas Mountains is a must.

A customer from Middlesex who stayed at 4* Nassim Hotel in Marrakech (Morocco) wrote this review.
Dirty, busy, polluted city with some places of interest, best day was the trip to the Atlas Mountains clean air and plenty of fantastic views Nassim Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms were a good standard. However i wouldn't bother having dinner at the hotel, they did try however i felt they failed on this count I travelled with another woman and we were constantly troubled by the Morrocan men. So i would suggest that you go in a large group or with a guy as you will get less unwanted attention that way. You really do get to see another culture and way of life, however i was happy to land back on British soil and not return.

Marrakech is a wonderfull city. The atmosphere is unbelievable and not to be missed. On the down-side,despite the hotel having a bar (per the brochure) there is not a spot of alcohol in sight !!
