Krakow is a vibrant city steeped in over a thousand years of history. Originally Poland’s capital, the city has 28 museums and art galleries, palaces, churches, modern shops and a lively nightlife. The Old Town, with its Renaissance architecture, offers the Royal Castle and medieval Old Town Square.

Krakow Short Break

We stayed at the Hotel Chopin which is just outside the City centre. Fantastic hotel with lovely English speaking very helpful staff. We used taxis which the hotel booked for us to get into the city centre which were working out at approx £4-5 for each journey and there were 5 of us - very reasonable. We visited Auschwitz and Auschwitz Birkenau whilst staying at the Chopin Hotel. We took our own car there and it tool about 1.5 hours each way. A very moving experience but I would recommend everyone to go and pay respects to what happened. Overall a fantastic 5 day break and one which I will want to repeat at some time.

Beautiful city, well worth a visit, people so friendly and helpful. Hotel and staff couldn't have been nicer. So easy to walk everywhere and sight see.

The hotel was very clean, the food in the restaurants was very well priced, great value for the money.The breakfast was more than enough & the staff were most helpful We had a great time yet again - thank you.

5 days in Krakow - sights, weather, friendly staff, excellent range of decent priced food, engaging lively nightlife. Almost everything in walking distance. Stay central Krakow or Kazimierz - equally good. Delighted by hotel situation. Excellent staff and full breakfasts. Hotel bar dull but great nightlife within 5 minutes walk. Will return to Poland in near future and recommend to singletons or couples!
