2 Great Exhibitions

Stay Date: 18/01/08, a customer from Northampton who stayed at 4* Radisson Blu Edwardian, Vanderbilt in Kensington wrote this review.

We saw Terracotta Army in the British Museum on the Saturday and Tutankhamen at the O2 on the Sunday. Both were excellent, it was worth getting the audio tours for both. The boat to and from the O2 See More  Read more information is good and is a nice way to see London from the Thames (takes about 40 mins from Embankment)The O2 has some good cafes and restaurants The Oyster travel card was good value and can be topped up forthe next trip to London the hotel was okay we just had a room on the main Cromwell road so it was noisy 24 hours a day and our plumbing in our room was very dodgy, either freezing cold or scalding!!the key cards for the room and lift was also a pain as it kept cancelling itself!!   Collapse  Hide

London Trip

Would not use the Thistle Kensington Gardens again. The air-conditioing in the room didnt work. My shower on the first morning was cold. On one morning we had to wait 15 minutes to be given a table See More  Read more information for breakfast because the dining room was obviously too small to cope with the number of guests. However, the location was very pleasant opposite Kensington Gardens and also very handy far two tubestations.   Collapse  Hide

Short Break In London

Stay Date: 17/01/09, a customer from Leeds who stayed at 4* Thistle Kensington Gardens in Kensington wrote this review.

Disappointed to find that the heating in our bedroom was not working and could not be fixed during our stay. We were only staying for one night and, to be fair, the hotel offered to change rooms but See More  Read more information as it was 10.00 pm at night by the time they did so we decied not to bother. The whole hotel was less than warm - not really satisfactory in January! Room ok, but bathroom rather jaded - badly inneed of updating. Booked our daily underground ticket in advance - what a boon, avoided 100 yard queue at Kings Cross underground.   Collapse  Hide

Night In London

Stay Date: 05/06/09, a customer from Leicestershire who stayed at 4* Thistle Kensington Gardens in Kensington wrote this review.

I suffered from lack of sleep due to traffic noise. We only had one hand towel in the room, one bottle of shampoo and shower gel - not very good for two guests! Everything else fine. Our main See More  Read more information reason of the night was to see Oliver, which was excellent. Did not come to go on a sightseeing tour, as have done this many times.   Collapse  Hide

A visit to Priscilla Queen of the Desert on Saturday afternoon was an excellent start and a trip to signor sassi in Knightsbridge rounded off a wonderful day. A fabulous italian restaurant although See More  Read more information a bit pricey! A quick trip to the London museum on Sunday morning is always a good way to spend a couple of hours.
