Kensington Palace, Kensington High Street Area

One of London's most fashionable districts, our hotels in Kensington are perfect for a short break in the capital; close by to all the excitement of central London, the area is just far enough removed from all the hustle and bustle for a relaxing getaway. Oxford Street, Mayfair and the glittering West End are all just a short tube ride away.

Kensington High Street is famed for its fabulous shopping, with upscale boutiques offering the very finest fashions and trendy goods. With a great range of stores, Westfield Shopping centre is also an excellent destination when on a shopping break. Our Kensington hotels are also in a good position to visit some of London's top attractions - pretty Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and the Natural History Museum are all just a short walk away.

The hotel was clean and comfortable but the room was so small we had to sit down on the bed to move round each other. The staff were all foreign but spoke reasonable English and were courteous. Good location, but disappointing room - bathroom just not up to standards. Great time visiting galleries, monuments, theatre, restaurants and getting around on the tube. See More  Read more information   Collapse  Hide

London Trip

Stay Date: 13/04/13, a customer aged 65+ from York who stayed at 3* Ambassadors Hotel Kensington in Kensington wrote this review.

Hotel room was small. It was clean but probably could do with updating. It was a twin room but because of the size of the room the beds were pushed together (which didn't matter but might to some See More  Read more information customers). The staff were efficient and friendly. We got a warm welcome from reception on arrival and were given our room early. Continental breakfast was very good. Location of the hotel was in aquiet area and handy for the tube and walking distance to Kensington, Royal Mews etc. Enjoyable break.   Collapse  Hide

Ambassadors Hotel London

Stay Date: 10/06/13, a customer who stayed at 3* Ambassadors Hotel Kensington in Kensington wrote this review.

The room had 3 beds despite being barely big enough for 2. One bed against the wall the other 2 literally 2 inches apart so to get into either of them you either had to launch yourself at the bed See More  Read more information from the foot of it or attempt to go through the middle space one foot in front of the other avoiding the castors on which inevitably you stubbed your toes.Had we not been quite short {5ft 2" and 5ft5"} the ceiling level for most of the room would have been a major problem. The room was in the basement with no window or natural daylight. Corridors to the room were very narrow space for clothestoiletries severely limited. Most of the rooms on this level appeared to be used as staff accomodation not very pleasant for them either! It was clean. I would not stay here again.   Collapse  Hide

Great stay in London

Stay Date: 19/12/16, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Ibis Styles London Kensington Non Refundable in Kensington wrote this review.

Hotel was quirky, like an upmarket hostel, chosen because of price really. Few yards from Earls Court tube which was great, lots of shops/cafes around so was good location. Room was very clean, See More  Read more information smelt very fresh, breakfast was continental which suits us fine as we can't manage full English now we're OAPs! Very attentive staff in dining room, quick to clear tables which was great to see.   Collapse  Hide

Fun in London

Stay Date: 03/03/17, a customer aged 25-44 from Newcastle Upon Tyne who stayed at 3* Ibis Styles London Kensington Non Refundable in Kensington wrote this review.

The hotel was in a really convenient location, only a 2 minute walk from the tube station. The hotel itself was pleasant but basic. The room was clean but only criticism was the fact it was open See More  Read more information plan and there was no separate bathroom. You could see into the shower/toilet from the bedroom, so privacy was lacking. Breakfast was continental with plenty of choice. As mentioned location wasdefinitely a main selling point for the hotel.   Collapse  Hide
