There is no noise although you are literally at the central station. Breakfast is really, really good - organic food, juices etc. For 1-2 days stay to discover Copenhagen it is a perfect hotel. Had to stay a couple of hours in Copenhaegen for a flight stop over. It take 15min from and to the airport and trains run very regularly. I arrived late and left very early. Did not use any facility beside the bed and shower. I guess the price was attractive compared to sleeping at the airport. Positive note: the staff is very friendly and helpful, so my note is clearly not for them. The location is right at the central train station, which is probably great for visiting. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues... which justify my rating. Noise: you clearly hear the trains all night, street traffic is also loud. Noise insulation from the outside is bad. Cleanliness: the design choices are nice, black/white contract. But please give the carpet a deep clean, certainly in the room as finding multiple white spots (from small to large) on the ground raise questions. I have less issue for this in the corridor but in a room.... nogo. Wifi was not working unfortunately, but on the other hand I was too lazy to ask them to fix it so they had no chance to fix it. Bathroom: old and shower is not practical as the bad tub has 2 level. Also some holes in the wall from previous accessories are still visible. Collapse

We had a great stay here. Location is excellent, breakfast as well. Do upgrade to their newly renovated rooms. Water pressure on the 3rd floor is not great. I'd return and recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have to say was a bit worried at first becauseof the not so great reviews on here about the hotel but it was a lovely surprise the hotel is lovely and clean, staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are lovely and warm we stayed in 256 it was plenty big for to people not overly noisy but if you are in early most nights ask for a room on opposite sides to the train station as they don't stop till about 11pm, the breakfast is great everything is so fresh and it is buffet style so you can help yourself as many times as you want and there should be something for everyone regardless of the type of food you like it is so worth paying the extra for breakfast you won't find nicer in the city, the hotel also has a take away coffee for you to bring on your with you and a wine hour in the evening which is great chance to relax and meet other people and get to know the staff. You are central you can walk to everything or go across the road to the tour buses or information office be aware that the tour bus only operates one of their tour routes and the boat tour on weekdays and they don't tell you till you by the ticket but all their routes operates on the weekend you could also use the train station or tram station. Tip if you are going to the Carlsberg factory during the week use the train is is only 5 mins away on the train and stops closer than where the buses stop is to the factory. Eating out is so easy because the hotel has so many great restaurants and cafes surrounding it one of our favourite places was a lovely place called flora's cafe not the restaurant but the cafe beside it, it does lovely food and is great value for money considering the price and food and drink in Denmark it is only about 5minutes walk around the corner and is open late also if you are a family staying at the Astoria there is a pizza place right beside the hotel which does everything also there is a McDonalds and other restaurant and cafes in the train station worth a look if you don't want to go far in the evening there is also a big shopping mall up the road from the hotel it is also one of the stops on the bus tour, the mall has two play areas for children and loads more and one of the best things about the hotel it is only a 2 minute walk to tivoli amusement park tip check yearly opening times for park if it's one of your sights to see as it is closed part of the year. I would recommend this hotel to family, friends and everyone else and will be staying there anytime we are in Copenhagen. Thank you again to all the staff at the hotel they are a great asset to have in any business Collapse

The big selling point for this hotel is the location beside (literally) the Central Station which means you are only a short walk from your plane via a 15 minute train ride! Being beside a bust train station means there will be s certain amount of associated noise especially on one side. It did not affect us as we slept soundly right to our alarms going off. Another plus for the hotel is their quality breakfast which is said to be organic. There is a nice selection of cereals, fruit, pastries, eggs and breads also freshly squeezed juices. Pancakes and assorted fillings are made to order. The Wine Hour in the evening is also a real nice touch as its complementary. Unfortunately the room was a major let down as we ended up with one of the old dated ones rather than a newly renovated one. Not only was it an old one it was also one of the smallest as it lost a chunk of space to the main stairwell. Also the bedroom was separated from the bathroom by a wall which gave you a hallway to the room but means more lost space. The walls were stark white with no art work on them to relive the bareness. The was one piece in the dark "hall". The light fitting was without a shade, well it had a broken piece attached to it. The large screen television was the only wall fixture. There was a desk inside the second door and right beside bed which also served as bedside table, unfortunately when the chair was pulled out to sit on it completely blocked the doorway. The bed was pushed up against the wall, this is a major bugbear of mine when there are two people sharing the bed. Its not acceptable for hotels to design room layouts that do not accommodate two guests getting out of bed on their own side. Overall the room was more like a cheap hostel room rather than a decent hotel room. In other reviews it is also mentioned that the hotel offers an upgrade for a sizable fee but this is not always a choice guests can make. We were offered another room but it was another old room that had a worse bed (also pushed against the wall) and a worse show, the sink and the show were worked off the same pipe meaning only one could be used at a time. we opted to stay with the better bed. The staff are very pleasant, very friendly and helpful also one of the better selling points for this hotel. Maybe when the hotel is fully renovated and the rooms are upgraded it will be the entire package. Collapse
