We were in town for a hockey game and my husband has been wanting to try this hotel for years. Pros: Excellent location. Staff are all friendly, professional, and accommodating. Room was newly decorated, spotless, quiet, and we had a lovely lake view. (North tower, 18th floor). They matched a deal we found on hotels.com and gave us a late check-out time of 3pm. Cons: $50 charge for overnight parking. Our fault for not asking but we expected it to be in the $25-$30 range we usually pay at other hotels in Toronto. Also - $16 for 24 hours for Internet usage with a limit of 3 devices. Lobby restaurant/bar was nice and again, great staff. Nice selection of healthy options. We'd happily return, but not with our car. ;) Collapse

Everything was very nice about hotel, staff was very helpful. Not the cheapest option available, but with the corporate rate I had with Isagenix, it was bearable. The only caveat I had was that there was no mini fridge in the room, so no real place to store some perishables I had . Irritating, but managed to make do with the ice bucket. Found out when I was checking out I could have asked for one, at no cost. Evidently when all rooms have been renovated, there will be fridges in the rooms. Would have been nice to have had that info when I checked in, or on the website. After all this is 2017! Didn't eat there, as generally I don't eat in hotel restaurants for the simple fact most are overpriced. Collapse

Westin hotels are in general nicely run with pleasant staffs..not so much at this location. I am an elite member and I was given a room directly in front of the elevator and I mean in front. The room wasn't vaccuumed and the fridge was full of the past guest's unwanted food and drinks. I had to ask for soap and shampoo as there was one of each..uncommon for a hotel with this price tag. I very politely made the front desk aware of this my first night..nothing was done to rectify this problem..in fact my room was as dirty when I checked out as when I arrived. During check out I was never asked how I enjoyed my stay. The Westin Harbour Castle obviously doesn't care to much about their guest's happiness. My better choices of hotels in Toronto. I would not recommend this one. Collapse

We love the westin and when we come to Toronto, which we do quite often, and look on hotwire.ca, we cross our fingers we will get this hotel. However this will be the last time we stay here. The weekend is a pre paid couples retreat for my husband and I. We thought about parking and taking the go transit in as we come from London but leaving our car for 2 nights wasn't recommended by friends who live here. We knew parking at the hotel would cost but usually there is a lot close by for less. Plus my husband has been staying downtown at hotels for work and paying $30 a night for parking which we thought was reasonable. Not so here. $40 - $50 a night!!! At the hotel and at the outside lots which the front desk clerk didn't recommend. It's just too much to add $100 for parking on top of the hotel rate. It's not like we are getting anything extra here that we wouldn't get at another hotel. In fact we are in a renovated room...its fine. But it took a couple times to get the shower to work without filling the tub with water. And I hung my sign on the door to get the $5 gift each day and did not receive it. It is clean and it's a beautiful lobby. The staff are courteous and kind and helpful. But the gouging on the parking is too much. Collapse

I have stayed at this hotel often over the past 10 years. It does not seem to change , nor does the Management take into consideration reviews. Pros: Overall the hotel is clean and well looked after. So are the rooms. I have stayed in both towers. Both are nice. This was the first time we stayed in the North Tower and had a balcony over looking the water. I wish I had known about these rooms before. In all the years we have stayed here we had never been offered a room with a balcony. It was wonderful. And my husband is platinum. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The work out area and pool were fine, clean and well laid out. The CONS: Room amenities skimpy. Like soap and no extras like we are use to ie. ear swaps etc. Food: Breakfast in room was cold and why is everything Asian inspired? We are in Canada. If I want a salad with eggs for breakfast I would go to another country. Food in main Lobby restaurant was good but lacking choices. Service was terrible. I guess the waiter expected a $5 tip on a $20 bill because he didn't bring me any change. Slow Slow Slow. I was sitting there at least 20 minutes and finally I walked up to the bar to get service. It was 3 in the afternoon. IT was not happy hour. I ate a quick soup at the bar one day and then a snack at 3 another day. BOTH TIMES NO NAPKIN GIVEN TO ME. WATER WAS NOT OFFERED OR GIVEN TO ME EITHER. And when you have to hunt your server down to get them , not a good thing . AS a PLATINUM OR Gold member with other hotels we receive either a Breakfast voucher or VIP lounge for breakfast and cocktail hours. AND Always a bottle of wine WITH a snack.Location to Toronto amenities not the best. My biggest issue is there is not a Canadian in sight and I don't know why but I always feel like I'm in a foreign country because the food is Asian inspired too. I know you want to provide healthy but it doesn't have to be Asian to be healthy. I believe in employing different ethic groups , however, they need to know , napkins are must with food and drink, service is expected, and SMILE. WHAT IS IT ABOUT THIS GROUP, never a smile . Concierge or Help Desk no smile and didn't know the weather. What is he doing working that desk? Lack of service for high end hotel. Little store again lack of service , no smile just not friendly. You feel like you are intriguing on them. So would I chose this hotel again. Most likely no unless I have too. And I thank the Manger for acknowledging our issue with the construction. Collapse
