Fantastic views, overlooking, the lake. Room, was cozy, and comfortable. Staff, was great. Genevieve, check us in, and was great to deal with. Went down to the bar, for something, to eat and drink, and the food, was good. Lee, our bartender, and waiter, was friendly, and it was a pleasure, to know him. We had breakfast, in the morning, buffet style, catering to Asian style. But, we ordered, from the waitress, eggs, and sausage, as part, of the buffet. Hostess, was great. Was even able to meet the manager, who was making, sure, that things, went well. The only thing, that I did not like, was that we were forced, to use the valet service, and pay 50.00 dollars, a night, to have our car there. Collapse

We had a tremendous view of all of the activity in the harbour and out to the Toronto Islands, in our lake side room. Nevertheless, the carpet and the furniture need to be updated. I found the staff to be indifferent, which is surprising given the very competitive nature of the Toronto hotel market. If you are staying more than one night, don't go for the "green option". It means you get no service (no clean glasses, no removal of recycling no fresh towels, etc) Collapse

My buddies and I have an annual trip where we all get together once a year and travel somewhere. This group has known each other for 35+ years and our friendships with each other goes back to when we were in elementary school. This year, one of the crew (who lives in Calgary) could not make it, so we decided to keep the 2017 trip local and instead, do a staycation and do something in Toronto because the majority of us still live in the GTA. We took in a Jays game at the Rogers center and booked rooms at the Westin using one of our buddies corporate rates through his work. 3 rooms with double beds in each for half of what the normal listed price is. Definitely a steal for one of the higher end hotels in the city. After the game, we made the short walk to the hotel, geared down and into our swim trunks, and made our way down to the hotel pool and recreation center. There was a small basketball court on the sun deck directly outside of the pool. You don't really get a clear view of the lake however you do get a nice look at the pier where that dilapidated old captain John's restaurant boat once stood and are surrounded by glass sky scrapers all around you. In any case, we had a great, competitive three-on-three game followed by a close game of "21" and "H-O-R-S-E" reminiscent of our glory days as young men, back when we had boundless energy. Afterwards we went for a quick dip and then a good old shvitz going back and forth between the sauna and steam room to really get a sweat going. The pool itself is a decent size with a deep deep end. No life guard on duty, so if you have little ones, there isn't really a good area for them to play in the water. There is also a decent gym and a small hot tub that got packed pretty quick and that we chose to stay away from based on the grey scum floating on the top of the water. We returned to our rooms to shower up and get ready for an evening out. The concierge was amazing and really helpful with getting us reso's at such a late time. We originally had tried to get into both Harbour Sixty and Mortons but two of our guys had not brought proper clothes. We settled on The Keg in the Esplanade a short walk away. What we didn't end up spending in meat At either of those high end steak houses, we ended up spending insteAd on drinks. The hotel room was amazing. Tastefully appointed with soft but firm mattresses and clean, fresh white linens to greet us and a large 52" flat screen tv. For two of the rooms, we were able to get side by side with an adjoining door to connect the two. We were told that the wing we were in had recently been renovated (1832/1833) and it was evident as soon as you got off the elevator. Elevators moved at lightning speed and we never had an issue getting one or having to wait for a long time. The hotel had a lot of guests and was booked to capacity but you would never know being up on the floors? Aside from the Jays game in the afternoon, apparently "The Weekend" played also at the ACC that night and that area of the city was packed! My only real complaint with the place is that parking overnight cost one of my buddies $50! (The rest of us chose to take the Go Train in). Overall, a wonderful experience and one I would definitively like to bring my family to enjoy with its close proximity to a lot of things and the various amenities available in the hotel. Collapse

Stayed here using spg points while visiting Toronto. The location is great for walking downtown, to Eaton center, the lakeshore, etc. we were on the 18th floor of the north tower and our floor/room seemed updated and new in many ways. Not sure where they are at with other floor renovations, but we didn't notice any construction around the hotel during our stay. Pool area is nice, and there seemed to be lots of indoor and outdoor workout/sports facilities. We did not eat at any of the restaurants, but there are a few options, as well as plenty of places to walk to within a few blocks. Valet parking is $50 and the non valet self option is $40, so be prepared for that expense. Collapse
