We were on the island with like minded people at the Jersey Scooter Rally which was held at the Westhill Country Hotel. I would recommend this Hotel to everyone. Considering the influx of a few hundred people for 3 days of music, beer and 2 stroke engines, the Hotel coped admirably. Plenty of room, superb breakfasts, pool facilities, hot tub, amazing gardens and beautiful setting. Our room was very nice indeed - kettle, tea, coffee, TV and a nice ensuite shower room too. Short drive to town, ( long walk). My only gripe was they weren't serving food on the Sunday and we had a late ferry crossing. Still, it was their end of season. Beware of Sunday's ... nothing opens and we struggled to get a cab! Over all a fabulous weekend. Collapse

We stayed here for the weekend whilst visiting friends on the island. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and itself is a lovely building. On our arrival we were checked in super fast by a a friendly member staff. The room was clean with an ensuite with shower. It wasn't a big room but there was plenty of space. The whole place is nice and clean and all the staff were very accommodating. You can walk into town should you want to have a good walk, if not call a taxi, they're efficient and not expensive. My only gripe was our room was located above the kitchen, we could hear them first thing in a morning banging and shouting around the kitchen, can't be helped it's a place of work after all. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. Collapse

The Westhill is run by the Smale family and a fabulous team of staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The hotel has beautiful grounds with a pool and hot tubs, ideal for those glorious warm summer days to relax. The food is lovely, with a good menu to satisfy the discerning eater and breakfast has both cold and hot food available. The rooms have been updated and offer the amenities that you would expect -and are very comfortable. The hotel has a large car park. I usually hire a car but the narrow lanes are a bit scary. Entertainment on 4 nights-varied but fun. Courtesy bus to St Helier when you don't want the hassle of parking and also on the local bus route. I have been holidaying here for many years and have taken lots of friends with me and almost everyone of them has fallen for the charm of the hotel. It might not be the poshest or most expensive, but you won't get a better welcome or better treatment anywhere else in the island. Collapse

We got delayed due to bad weather so the airline put us up here for a night. What we really enjoyed: Very well organised, they took care of our bags and the room checkin so we could have dinner before last service in the restaurant. The restaurant has a great charm and the food and service were very good. At the rear of the property is an open air swimming pool and extensive grounds. Within the grounds was a mini "zoo" and lots of wild birds and squirrels. Plenty of areas to sunbathe on the grass. A garden bar which also had ice creams. Our room was well appointed and fresh, not tired with chipped paint etc like many hotels. Great wine list with loads of choice at reasonable prices for a hotel of this class. What was good: The hotel has a spacious feel to it. Lots of areas for walking around the hotel. Staff were really helpful. Good for the price (had we paid for it). Could be a problem for some: A taxi ride into St Helier if you wanted to go out for a drink/meal etc Nowhere else to go in the neighbourhood. In short, we've stayed in hundreds of hotel worldwide and this was memorable for all the right reasons. Collapse
