We stayed at the Westhill with my 12 year old daughter. I was initially concerned at what she'd find to do (other than internet surfing!). However I was pleasantly surprised. The leisure facilities were great with the 2 pools (one for the little ones) and then an adult pool and the two hot tubs. All were spotlessly cleaned every day. The gardens were a suit to behold and were well maintained. Also in the gardens was an aviary and play areas with table tennis for the more energetic. Wifi was a slight issue as this could only be received in the main area of the hotel, however this is already pointed out in the hotel documentation. The staff couldn't be more helpful. I had a puncture in my hire car one morning and before I finished breakfast the staff had the hire company out and the tyre changed and us back on our journey. We booked B&B and the breakfast was fab with fresh cooked food to your specifications and well as a great continental buffet. Jersey itself was as good as I remember it from my childhood and it even got the thumbs up from my daughter. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel although it is a good walk from St Helier itself up a rather steep hill. The free bus and the local bus however are available. Collapse

Just spent 10 days staying here, wonderful grounds, marvellous staff and food. Please note if staying there is no lift and our room was a little small but very comfortable and I have never had a room serviced so well and so quickly even when staying at 5 star hotels. Really well worth a visit. Collapse

My wife and I went to Jersey for the first time and stayed at this hotel, the hotel is well run and everything that can be done to make your stay as comfortable as possible is done. Our room was very spacious and kept spotless throughout our stay (7 days). We stayed on a half board basis which I think is excellent value, the restaurant is very good the service first class and the food wonderful. The outside space is excellent with extensive well kept gardens a good sized pool that is kept to a very nice 18 deg and again very clean. There are plenty of sun lounges and not all are round the pool, some are in shaded ore quite areas for anyone who just wants to relax and have a quite read. There is also a lovely big room with a bar and a good sized dance floor which we thought would be in use but to our huge disappointment it wasn't they only use it for private functions ore at least that is what we were told.We booked this hotel because of the dance floor but it is not made clear in the brochure that it is not used on a weekly basis.Because we like to dance (ballroom) I emailed the hotel before we went,to ask about dancing but even then they did not tell me the dance floor was not available. But our disappointment aside this is a lovely plaice for a relaxing holiday. Collapse

My partner and I stayed at this lovely hotel from the the 2nd of July to the 8th of July. We had a lovely room, clean, tea and coffee, biscuits etc, the bed was a bit too soft for us but they changed the mattress the day the same day we mentioned it. The staff were very helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble. The Maitre D' was a star! Picked on me all week! All in good humour though! The food was excellent, great choice and excellent service. Lovely swimming pool, with loads of sun loungers never had a problem getting one, free towels by the side of the pool, drinks delivered poolside. Varied Entertainment on 3 of the nights. Had a wonderful week. Collapse

Jersey is a wonderful place to visit but to me the most important thing is where I stay. After several years staying at the Westhill I can honestly say that it improves year on year. From the warm welcome on arrival to the constant attention from the friendly and respectful staff, they all go the extra mile to make sure that your stay with them is the best they can make it. The food is beautifully cooked and presented, with a good choice to please everybody. I know it is certainly the gardens that first attracts people, and they are beautiful and immaculately kept, but this hotel has so much more to offer. The proof of this is the many returning friends we meet there year after year. Collapse
