I find it helpful in these reviews to write a pros and cons list. I find it more constructive. Pros: - Centrally located to theme parks, restaurants and grocery stores -Beautiful setting with lakes and nice landscaping. -Great gym with nice equipment -Security was good. Had to pass through a guard to show your pass that you were staying there. -There was laundry in our unit which was really helpful. Cons -This place is way to big resulting in poor customer service. Upon check in we were basically given a map and shown where our room was. That was it. -The units are extremely outdated and old. -The kitchen was not well equipped. We count on that to help keep our costs down while traveling with a family of 5. -The staff was not friendly nor welcoming and we had no idea what amentities were available. -We learned upon trying to use the gym that you could not unless you had an amenities card (15 dollars per day) or 5 dollars per day for the gym. In our opinion you should not have to pay for the gym. We have stayed in many resorts and have never had to pay for the amenities. There was also a fee for wifi. -Our room was never cleaned until we called several times. (It happened towards the end of our stay) -Apparently there were several pools, but we only knew of the one located by the check in and the one by our room. -The parking is really bad. If you do not get there while everyone is out, you have to park in a parking garage that is quite a distance away. I think it just comes down to the resort just being to big to be efficient and accommodating to their customers. We won't return. Collapse
Not going back.

The room was very nice. Spacious, nice kitchen, washer and dryer. Staff was very friendly as well. However, we have small kids, including an infant and we couldn't even park in front of our building. If you don't get a parking spot by about 7 pm, your out of luck. We had to park in the parking garage and walk our kids to one of the farthest buildings at midnight while cars, including employee golf carts and shuttle vans, went speeding past us. Not fun. We stay in lots of hotels through the year and have never had this problem. Another issue we have never had a problem with at major hotel chains is weed. I don't mind what people do behind closed doors but when we pull up next to a car in the parking lot and try to get our small kids out of the car while marijuana smoke is pouring out of the car next to us, well, that's kinda ridiculous. This resort is a glorified apartment complex. If you can get past the parking issues and such, like I said, the complex is beautiful. We were very unsatisfied with some of these issues. Collapse
Would not invest in this property

Booked this room through Expedia to avoid time share tour. We wanted to explore before considering a tour. We were excited to see the property on arrival. Unfortunately that was the extent. We checked on and the rep said we had VIP status and our room was upgraded. We already called Expedia and paid for the upgrade prior to our arrival. I explained this to the woman and she insisted that they were giving us the upgrade. I thought to myself, well then refund the money I already paid but I just went with it and didn't argue. We our deposit that supposedly covers the amenities at the resort. She sent us to the VIP desk to get our amenities card. I visited the fitness center yo workout and the woman at the fitness center asked for my amenities card. I showed her and she said I would need to pay $5 to use the gym. I told her that the woman at the VIP desk said this card lets me use the gym and that is what my resort fees we paid were for. She said, no, it is only for VIP and timeshare holders. She said it would be ok this time but next time I need to pay. We were clearly told our resort fee covers the fitness center and it does not. We got in our car and drove to our room. Let me rephrase that. Almost got hit several time by people driving golf carts. The parking is absolutely horrible! There is not even close to suffecient parking here. We have to park almost a mile away in a parking garage and wait 15 mins to get a shuttle from the lobby to our room. Then do the same to get back to our car and pray you don't get in a wreck in the process. We arrived in our room and decided to use the hot tub. Pushed the button to start the jets and waited about 2 to 3 mins for the jets to start pumping the water only to find this is little pressure coming from the jets. Got out of the hot tub and went to the shower. Turn it on and no water came out. Waited about 2 mins before the water came out. We decided to try the reastraunt onsite called Drafts. We were seated and waited about 10 mins before a waiter said someone will be with you soon. Waited about 5 mins before someone came to greet us. Finally decided to call it a night. I thought maybe it would be better the next day. Well, NO, it isn't. I asked the VIP desk about my fitness center issuie and she said it must be paid for by guests. This is not what they said upon check in but I didnt want to argue, plus I had to catch the shuttle back to my room because the parking issue did not get better and all the previous issues still occurred the next day and the next. I was really hoping things would improve here but they have not and for those reasons I would not consider investing my money in any type of time share through Westgate. Your asking a people for thousands of dollars to invest in your resort. As a business owner I know how important it is to make a first impression and it was not done here. We still have a few days left here so I will update if it gets better. Collapse

I've been waiting a little over a week to calm down from our experience here before writing my review. Just thinking of this place raises my blood pressure. I wasn't pleased with anything here, except maybe the view of a lake at night. But you can get there almost anywhere in Orlando. We stayed here from March 1st through March 6th 2018. We had initially planned on using the "complimentary" shuttle to WDW, but after reading so many reviews of pick-up being at only one park and at a specific time, we decided to rent our own care for convenience; this was both a blessing and a curse - but I'll get to that later. ***Our research on this place and what might help you as well: THIS IS A TIMESHARE "RESORT"! The staff will bend over backwards and offer you everything from $100 cash to park tickets, etc. We did not fall for it nor would we ever give this place another dime of our money after staying here for 5 nights. Those that go for the "free" breakfast are harassed to go on their "tour" which will hold you as essentially a hostage anywhere from 5 or 6... up to 8 hours.*** Check-in: Upon arrival, we couldn't find a parking space and refused to allow the valet to take our vehicle. After double-parking near one of the 4 "courtesy" spots that weren't reserved by the front desk - my wife and I checked in and were offered the following before finally getting our room key: Free breakfast, $100 cash, park tickets (both WDW and Universal). All of these we refused. Room: Our room (One Bedroom Villa) had a full-size fridge which was the main highlight of our room. The TV in the living-room/kitchen had a remote that did not work. The TV in the bedroom worked for an hour the first night and didn't again afterward. The TV service here is standard definition. They have HD TV's in the rooms, but the service you get will not be. Floors were clean, but there was obvious rot/damage to the vanity in the bathroom next to the toilet. The turn-down service (they do not clean the rooms daily, but will make your bed) left a stained blanket in our room one night. I uploaded a picture. You can judge for yourself what the stain might be... Our room was also conveniently located immediately next to the "Laundry Chute" room which had doors open to the outside any time I walked by. Walls are thin and windows seem to be thin as well, we heard everything the employees would do in here in the early hours of the morning. The AC unit kicking on always sounded like someone pounding on our door and the dishwasher was louder than a truck engine idling. Parking: Oh, my... the Parking. This facility does not have "reserved" parking for guests or owners. It's essentially a free-for-all as long as you have the piece of paper on your dash that says you're staying there. Parking along the edges of the lots and in fire lanes on the weekends is apparently permissible. Every night we had to park at another building - anywhere from 100-200 yards from our room. We're young, so it's not a huge deal to walk this far... But when you have a 6 year old and a 9 month old in tow along with a stroller, cooler, diaper bag, backpack, and whatever we came back from the park with that day - it's not just inconvenient, it's a problem. On our third night, I decided to follow the trend and park along the edge of the parking lot like I had seen other cars do the prior nights we had stayed here. 2 security golf carts pulled up to me and told me that I could not park there. When I explained that I had seen other cars break their rules the last few nights, they said that was because they were booked full - there was "available" parking now.... I had to move. Security: The "security" detail here seems sufficient - there are guards and their golf carts; however, we smelled marijuana on our long walks back to our room every night. Every. Night. We called the front desk - they didn't seem to care. The guards also don't seem to do much other than drive the golf carts around and sit on plastic jersey barriers that block off "full" parking lots - but the barriers only go up when you bring it to their attention that there is no parking available. Also - the security door that should magnetically lock the door to our building and require a key to unlock the door between 10PM and 7AM. The lock for this was pulled down and damaged - we called the front desk (or the West Gate call center that might answer their phone at 11PM). "We'll have someone out to fix this right away." This was never fixed during our stay... Staff: The front desk or whomever I spoke with when I explained the issues we were insincere and made promises for a "spotless room" and a fixed door the next day. Neither of these happened. We were offered $50 in vouchers to use anywhere on the property, but I refused. We accepted a late checkout (noon instead of 10AM), but otherwise the customer experience was abysmal. Long story short, don't stay here unless you're booking last minute. They are predators and you are their prey. Use my words to guide your decision. These people are con-artists and want your money. We arrived around 8pm they told us the're was no reservation because it was made through a third party vendor and the property was full at the time. I ask for a supervisor and after an hour they offer to accommodate us on a "standard room". We are 5 people and the room was a smelly old studio worst than a motel on a second floor. When we finally arrived to the room with all our luggage, the key didn't work and there was no one to find around the building. the kids were asleep and the nightmnare began. It was far from the main building (check in) so I spotted an employee on a golf cart, called him several times until he came and told me to use a phone on the first floor and call for help. After 45 minutes an employee showed up to ask what was going on, he left and came back 15 minutes later to let us in the room. The rugs were so old, dirty and smelly that we couldn't take our shoes off. We called front desk but they didn't help at all. We were placed at the old building with a promise of a transfer that never come true. We left early to Disney and at our return the room was exactly as we left it. no one came to check on our claims. We went to the main building and we were told that we will get another room in the morning. Around 11pm the A/C stopped working and there was no one to fix it until the next day. We decided to leave in the morning and not return. As of today I never got reimbursed for the remaining night but they lost a client and I would never ever recommend this property or any related to them. Collapse
