This was my 8th visit to this hotel, it has gone downhill since the previous visit of 2014. The room was in poor decorative condition e.g. wall paper peeling, grouting dirty in the bathroom, the bath minuscule, the TV difficult to change channels /alter volume, a light was broken. This was really disappointing as the staff were reluctantly helpful. I won't stay there again. Collapse

We were arriving by Eurostar into Brussels so were looking for a hotel near the rail station. The Eurostar arrives into Brussels Midi (Zuid). This hotel is Brussels Central. It is only one stop on another train to get here. It is literally just outside the Central rail station (if you exit from the correct exit!). So perfect for us as we didn't want to have to walk far with our bags. The lobby is decorated very well and quite "expensively" for the price we paid. The check in staff were great, notably the lovely lady who checked us in, Shabnam. The room was a great size for a city hotel, two single beds, admittedly quite close together which could be pushed apart a bit. The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows were luxury. The halls were bright and clean! We did not use the sauna or gym so no comment for that. The only downside was the breakfast, for 24 Euros it was certainly not as tasty as expected. You would do much better to head across the road to the sandwich/cheese shop of Tonton Garby (check his reviews!!) where you can get a great breakfast for 6-7 Euros! It is also the perfect location to access all of central Brussels on foot. Visit Brasserie de la Ville just down the road for a great meal with a lovely hostess! I would recommend this hotel. However do ask for a room higher up and/or not facing the street as it can be noisy on a weekend!! Collapse

Flew into Brussels for a private visit with the Mrs. First time to Belgium. Amazing architecture and aplenty of chocolate and beer outlets. After the recent turmoil that Brussels went through the hotel prices plummeted drastically. The 5 star properties that had rooms start at 250-300$ now went for 90-140$ a night. Had a couple of options in mind - either the Sofitel next to the main shopping area or Warwick (about a 10 minute walk away from the main shopping area) but right next to the Grand Place. Opted for the second one having been to the one in Paris in August. First thing: getting there from the Brussels airport - Warwick is right next to the Central Station (150 meters away). Instead of coughing up 50 Euros for a cab ride, catch the train (leaving from airport underground) for about 8.50 Euros (one way) which takes about 20 minutes to the Central Station. And no, no internet on the train. Walking the short distance from the station to the hotel don't be fooled by the dodgy characters in the park and the general surrounding which makes the area look shady. The check in is seamless and we were on our way to our room in no time. The staff generally do not interact with you unless it is necessary which gives you peace of mind. The double King room faced the inside si there was no noise. Rooms are clean, bathrooms cladded in marble, large TV flat screens 20-odd English language channels), plenty of cupboard space, safebox. No ironing items, though. The internet connection was free & we had good reception inside the room. The breakfast is served till 1030 on weekdays & 11 on weekends on the ground floor. Tasty and substantial. Try the Belgian waffles. For those who need to print, photocopy or use the net, the business center is around the corner from the breakfast. There was a bar/lounge on the ground floor but we havent used it. As far as the location, just behind the hotel you will find the popular, architecturally amazing Grand Place with the Town Hall. Other things within a five minute walking distance (depending on direction) include the Manneken Pis, Stock Exchange, Art and Music museum, Royal Palace, Sablon, St. Michaels Cathedral (replica of Paris Notre Dame!). As mentioned earlier, a 10 minute walk takes you to Louise street, "divided" by the luxurious shops (LV, Gucci, etc) on one side & the Zaras, Massimo Duttis, etc on the other. Walking past the Royal Palace to the east you'll reach the EU Parliament and a bit further away past the cozy Leopold Park, the EU commission and the Parc de Cinquantenaire the Triumphal Arch 20-25 minute walk from the hotel). Overall, I do recommend staying here and would do so myself again in the future should the opportunity arise! Collapse

Stayed here for a weekend in Brussels. We loved it. It's a great location, really close to La Grande Place, restaurants and bars. There was even a great club across the street. It was great. The rooms are lovely and clean and the beds are incredibly soft and comfortable. We got it on Hotwire for a great price so I'd recommend checking Hotwire for some great deals. And I liked it a lot because they leave Speculoos cookies in the room for guests and I love that! Collapse
Good hotel in a great location, although it isn't a 5 star or luxury hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights when going to the Belgian F1 at Spa with Thomas Cook Sports. We had only booked the package 3 weeks earlier and it was the only hotel still available. We know that we paid significantly less than the others who had chosen to stay here and probably wouldn't have chosen it if we were travelling independently. The hotel is very centrally located for the sights of Brussels and in a great location for the Eurostar. Eurostar tickets from London can be used for onward travel to any Belgian station within 24 hours of arrival/departure, so we took a connecting train to Brussels Central from Midi (as long as you have the right direction, pretty much all of them stop there) and around 10 mins later we were at the hotel. We didn't use any other public transport and walked everywhere. There is a small supermarket a few minutes walk away, which was convenient for buying food/drinks to take to the track. When we arrived we had been upgraded to a suite as I had let TCS know that it was my husband's 30th birthday weekend, which was a nice touch. The hotel also arranged to start breakfast earlier on the Saturday as the group were leaving very early to watch qualifying. We didn't really spend much time in the hotel due to the early starts/spending all of the weekend at the race track, but what we saw of it was fine. We both travel extensively for work and pleasure so have stayed in a lot of hotels around the world. On this basis we wouldn't say this was a 5* hotel. More like a nice 3/4* hotel as some of the areas/facilities were quite outdated and there wasn't anything that impressive/great about it. The best thing was the location as it was great for a quick break in Brussels. We'd give it a 4.5 on TA for the location alone, but everything else was distinctly average. Collapse
