What a shambles of a hotel. I can't believe this is part of the Marriott hotel group! 4star...never!! Has it put me off booking a Marriott hotel again.... absolutely!!! Situated basically on the hard shoulder of the m25 and surrounded by a housing estate this was not the golf course look spa hotel the adverts lead you to believe. It's in a terrible area.Hotel is extremely dated. You can hear every noise from the next room and hallway. Foyer and bar area stinks of chlorine so you can't even sit and have a drink! Asked for a family room with a child under 2 and was given a second floor room .... no lift ... to lug cases and child up with no help! Air conditioning broken so opened window to be sat listening to football chants until after 1am. Banging doors and people up and down the corridors making so much noise until the early hours of the morning.... !! Need a break to get over this place!!! Just feel I've totally been miss sold a spa 4star hotel. It was a last night stay and treat for my daughters 18th birthday and just been stitched up . Rooms dated and tired looking. The price of this hotel is way way over what it's worth. My advise would be to book the travel lodge down the road. Marriott group... you should be ashamed to put your name to such an expensive shambles. Never again!! Gutted. Collapse

We arrived an hour before our treatment to use the facilities. If you want a robe and slippers you have to pay a £10 deposit which will be refunded when you leave. Due to the extreme hot weather the pool area was un bearable with no air con or fans. There are very limited chairs to sit on as well so I disnt particularly enjoy the pool, sauna or steam room. The lockers you need a £1 to keep your items locked away so remember to bring change. The massage room was down a bedroom corridor which was quite strange as you had to walk through the hotel corridor to get to it. The massage room was well dressed however and had the usual relaxing music. The back neck and shoulder massage was not the best I've ever had and the masseuse was massaging my back at 100mph so hardly relaxing. The changing rooms were very slippery and particularly by the showers and toilets so take care. Note there are 2 hair dryers on site but no plugs If u want to straighten your hair which I soon found out! We received the spa day as a gift so it was fine as a day out but wouldn't recommend to others and wouldn't be back. Would rather spend the extra money and go somewhere local that has an outside area, the spa is all in on area and everything is included i.e. Robes etc. Also parking- remember to type your registration into the machines at reception. No one checks if you've done this it's your own responsibility. Collapse

Myself and some friends had booked on for the events night, Dancing through the decades. We had all paid our money £30 pp and had confirmation of everything. However when we arrived we looked at the table plan and we wasn't on there, after finding somebody who worked there we told them and showed them our confirmation. She set us to the side while she went to find out what was going on. After 20 minutes we still hadn't been seated and the lady we originally asked and who still had our letter was ignoring us most prob hoping we'd just go away! We saw her dealing with others and still ignoring us. After another 5/10 mins another lady asked us what we were doing there and had we got tickets, her mannerism was practically accusing us of gate crashing. We told her what had happened and eventually we were seated, we got no apology and made to feel like we were the ones who had done something wrong. The food was ok but it would have been handy if the menu was available before the night so we knew what we were having. It def wasn't worth £30, the staff were miserable and only one person serving in the bar most of the night. Wouldn't go back again Collapse

Booked in for two nights. Room itself adequate and clean , bed was uncomfortable mattress lumpy. First night tried to get room service all night and unobtainable, complained next morning said was busy all night??. Good choice of breakfast but half items cold on first morning and some staff not friendly, was slight improvement on second morning. For money didn't think was good value ,would stay again. Wi Fi was not free £9.99 per 24 hours . Collapse

Ive been traveling to the UK for business for the past five years. These last three years, I have stayed in this hotel. The prices are reasonable, the services and food is good and fairly priced. The facilities are always clean and the rooms are comfortable. Downside is there is not much to do i. The is not much to do in the immidiate area, but since Im there for work the location is good for me. I recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area. Collapse
