Horrible horrible hotel

We had the worst experience ever. No hot water, the service crew were so rude. Cleaning was horrible, the food at the bar was so bad, we got sick. If you want a nice trip to Spain, don't ever choose this hotel. Fare away and it doesn't worth it.

Cheap and cheerful not the cleanest but great for the train station. It's just across the road so great for getting round and there on time. Perfect for getting to and from airport. Your in the middle of fuengarola and toramalinos

My partner and I arrived at this hotel at midday and were barely acknowledged when we stood at the reception desk. We noticed a sign stating that check in time was at 3pm and we asked if we could store our suitcases somewhere until that time. We were taken downstairs to a poorly lit, smelly storage area were staff appeared to be on their break and told to leave our cases there. Upon check in we were told that the air con remote required a €10 deposit which we didn't mind but there was also a €3 per day charge for room safe key and a further €3 per day charge for the tv remote! This wasn't stated in any of our booking information and meant our 10 day stay would've cost €60 straight away so we left it and resorted to carrying our passports and money with us at all times. Every staff member looked totally miserable, I stayed polite and courteous with them but was it returned with constant attitude as if anything asked was an inconvenience. I don't expect full in cheer 24/7 but from working in the public sector myself I do think a degree of professionalism is required. The room (number 318) itself was ok at first glance. The kitchen area was decent enough but lacked the basics like instructions for the hob, a kitchen towel or dish washing sponge or liquid. The sink also blocked very easily and the toaster was broken. The bed was really uncomfortable and we only had one pillow and a sheet for cover. I would have thought an additional blanket should have been provided. The bed also felt very unstable and when I looked under it it was falling apart (photo attached) The balcony door didn't lock and could be accessed from the outside which only added to our security concerns regarding our passports and money etc. The bathroom had a shower pole but the shower head wasn't fitted to it so had to be hand held. It was also covered in limescale so I decided that baths were the healthier option. The soap dispensers didn't work and the bottom of the toilet bowl looked disgusting and it blocked really easily. We were told our room would be cleaned every 3 days but it was only cleaned twice during our 10 day stay. There was a sign on the room door that said fresh towels would be provided out with cleaning days for another additional charge of €2 per change. I decided I would pay this just for basic hygiene but when I asked reception for fresh towels the reply was just a firm NO. They did give me a hairdryer when I asked but again it seemed like a massive inconvenience, my room number was taken and I was told it must be returned on check out. The swimming pool looked ok but we didn't use it as there was a loud drunken crowd of men (stag do) at the pool bar most days and there was only about ten old and worn out sun loungers round it anyway. The only saving grace of this hotel is that it Torremuelle train station right on its doorstep. We used this to our advantage as we spent everyday out and away from the hotel. It is such a shame because this hotel has the potential to be great. It has some beautiful sea views to the front and hills to the back. The hotel is just so tired and in need of a serious upgrade and a change of staff. It has put me off ever staying there again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Collapse

This hotel is NOT in Benalmadena it is in Torremuelle and completely out of the way of everything, you cannot walk to any bars, restaurants or shops, however there is a train station right outside of the hotel so other resorts are easily accessible this made our holiday slightly more bareable otherwise you are really restricted. Other resorts we visited by train was Malaga, Benalmadena, fuengirola lovely places with plenty of shops bars and restaurants. A taxi to any kind of life is around 10-12 euros one way which can soon add up if you are wanting to go out most evenings. The hotel itself is basic but acceptable however it is quite dirty and could really do with painting everywhere. On check in we were informed the apartment is cleaned every 3 days after day 5 I had to requested our room be cleaned and the bedding and towels changed, after this we never had the room cleaned again. There was no kettle, toaster, hairdryer or even a plug in the room again I had to request these items. Staff are friendly and helpful especially Alex and Lolo at the pool bar, nothing is too much trouble for these two. The food served at the bar is really not too bad. On our 5th night we encountered the neighbours from hell, they would constantly argue, shout, throw this be around the room keeping myself and my daughter awake for 2 nights in a row as this didn't stop until the morning, police were called two nights in a row to them as the Mr was so drunk he was threatening his wife and other guests with knives, the police nor the reception team did anything at all about this however on their last night once he broke the bedet in their room the police arrested him ... Absolute joke that he can be threatening and aggressive and get away with it but damage hotel property and your arrested !!! So my overall review has to be avoid this hotel unless you are happy to be in the middle of nowhere with unhelpful reception staff and an unclean room. Collapse
