We stayed at the Victory House for 2 nights, mid-week. It only opened in November so, as we expected, it was clean and not tired looking as can often be the case with central London hotels. Almost a concealed entrance and we have to agree that the reception was almost non-existent and not welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful, the 2nd morning the breakfast staff were appalling and more interested in chatting than taking hot food off of the lift, resulting in a lukewarm eggs benedict! Our room was well appointed if rather small, not so keen on the idea of tea/coffee making facilities directly under the clothes hanging rail and if we stayed longer the lack of wardrobe space and hangers would have been a problem. I would also suggest that one chair in a double room is just not enough, even with the limited space sitting on a bed to watch TV or work on a laptop is most uncomfortable. However, we thought that the inclusion of fruit juice, vegetable crisps and scrumptious pop corn was a very nice touch. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the proximity of the hotel to the west end and all it has to offer is a real bonus. We both felt that the noise from buskers etc., which went on well into the night, was an issue and can only imagine that it will get worse with the summer months. Collapse

Even London taxi driver couldn't find it ... the pictures of a large ornate facade are totally deceiving. My husband was appalled when we were finally corralled by someone from the hotel who saw us wandering around and we entered in a narrow doorway, next to a bistro. The lobby is minuscule, reception desk barely the size of a laptop, and lots of lovely people squeezed around asking us about our journey. Room is small, but large enough, well appointed, lots of light. Rooms must be in the building pictured, because we look out on the square, but entrance is up a side street off the square ... look at the picture that has "Victory House" on the mat outside. I love boutique hotels, so this is lovely for me ... my husband more traditional, took a while to get over the misdirection of the pix. Happy ending. Can't beat it for the price in a great location in London. Did I mention tube stop a block away?? Collapse

This hotel is in a great situation right in the heart of the theatres and much that tourists would like to see. It is not so glamorously set as the photograph above depicts and it is a good little hotel but space is of a premium in this popular area. So in this hotel you will have a very small breakfast area, tiny sitting area downstairs and from my experience small bedrooms. Having said that the positives are: Very friendly staff, bed and bedding are good, the rooms are all well soundproofed. It is a bit on the dark and gloomy side in halls and rooms. Slight Sweeney Todd style bathrooms but lots of hot water and everything works well. The most ridiculous wardrobe and coffee/tea area - you cannot hang you clothes up and use the tea and coffee making facilities easily. There is simply no room in the room for you to sit but on the bed, no reasonable space to put your personal effects out. The breakfast was in itself very good - freshly cooked and well prepared, with a small buffet section with modest range but of good quality ingredients. The breakfast room is small and cramped but the two waiters were charming and doing their very best to make everyone happy and comfortable. We did not have an evening meal or room service. The other good thing is that they have a 'handy' smartphone available to all those staying at the hotel - which is exceptionally useful for tourists. Very good move. I think this is a great tourist hotel for convenience and basics done well. Collapse

This was our first visit to Victory House, Leicester Square, London. It was a challenge at first locating the front door as Leicester Square was extremely busy. The entrance is just off Leicester Square and was small and somewhat understated. It is a stylish hotel with with just 86 contemporary bedrooms offering a boutique style experience. We received a very warm welcome. Our room overlooking Leicester Square. We had checked in just as the Stars of the Peter Rabbit Movie were arriving at the cinema next door, purely coincidence. We were able to see and hear the interviews that were taking place not far from street level; it was a great vantage point. Our room wasn’t the biggest but it was well appointed, clean and had everything we needed. The sole purpose of this visit was to check out a hotel that was new to us, in an area that we often visit. We were not disappointed. It couldn’t have been better located for Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus & Carnaby Street. Service and food in the on site restaurant Petit Bistro was outstanding ...... a special mention must go to Matthews. I can highly recommend Victory House and to reinforce our experience and recommendation we are already planning our next visit. Collapse

Spend a weekend in London staying at this hotel. The location is great, it’s very convenient since is very near the underground, the hotel face Leicester sq so even the view is nice (if you have a room on the frond site). I loved the interior of the room and the black and white bathroom. Somehow it felt very masculine which I like. The room was fresh, bed was good. There was complementary tea, coffee and biscuits every evening which was highly appreciated after a long day of sightseeing in the city. Loved it, will definitely book there again on the next trip to London. Collapse
