My husband and I stayed at this hotel recently for our honeymoon. We were greeted very warmly by the reception staff, and were given a lot of information about the hotel, as well as local amenities and tourist 'stuff', which was very helpful. We stayed in room 301 which has a balcony looking out to the street next to the hotel entrance. The room was lovely, and the bed was massive (although was 2 double beds placed together) and very comfortable. We stayed for 9 days which happened to be during an extremely uncomfortable heat wave, so the air conditioning in the room helped a lot. But we still found it a bit too warm because it was so humid outside, so asked for a fan, which was brought up within 5 minutes by reception, and solved all our problems! The bathroom was nice, very clean, and the shower head was amazing! The provided hair dryer was not powerful at all, and it took so long to dry my hair, so I would recommend bringing your own if possible. We stayed half board, so had breakfast and dinner in the hotel during our stay most days. The main restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the food was satisfactory. I could nit pick about various meals, but they are so miniscule that there is no point. We did enjoy a meal one evening at TemptAsian, which is located on the rooftop near the pool. The food was lovely, but a word of advice: To make the most of this meal, book in advance, and make sure that they know you want a table outside because the view at night is stunning! If you have a larger group, there are really great little areas inside that are surrounded by sheer linens, and really beautiful. We only went into the indoor pool area once to check it out, but it was far too sticky and hot for that time of year. However, it had a really nice atmosphere, and would be great in the winter months. The Outdoor pool is located on the 9th floor (rooftop). It is such a lovely area with many sun beds available, and the infinity pool is just big enough to provide a place for everyone to walk into and cool off from the sun. The fact it is an infinity pool makes it so much better, as everyone just walks in and over to the edge to take in the view. There are staff up there should you want drinks or something to snack on during the day. We spent a good many hours by the pool, and absolutely loved it! The only issue I have is that we felt really bad for the staff as their uniform required them to wear long trousers, and they were sweating profusely. Everyone around the pool was feeling sorry for them and talking about how it wasn't fair, and their uniform should be adapted for the height of summer. I sincerely hope that management will take this into consideration as I believe it is unhealthy for them to be in such a state, and not safe. They are really hard workers, and absolutely lovely! Thank you to all the staff for giving us a lovely holiday! Collapse

We are a family of 4 including two children aged 14 and 17 years. Therefore we asked for two rooms preferably adjoining to make life easier! We booked bed and breakfast. The hotel gave us two lovely rooms on the 4th floor, well presented and very clean. The rooms had an internal door that allowed our kids to pass between the rooms without having to walk out of the main door (and therefore cut down on the noise of the main door slamming shut!) - these connecting doors can be shut & locked if required! Breakfast was served from 08:00-10:00 - and is a buffet affair, always plenty on offer and regularly re-stocked - with a person cooking eggs to your liking. The hotel has use of the facilities of the Palace (attached 5 star hotel) which means you can use the indoor spa pool or the roof pools, all of which are in excellent order. The outdoor pools are not heated so can be cold - but this is very welcome on a hot day! We tended to have lunch at the pool on the roof - there is a good menu with reasonable food prices although the drinks are more expensive than you would find outside the hotel. however they will take your order from you sun lounger and bring it to you when ready :-) our favourite was the Sushi! The general decor of the hotel is excellent and staff very friendly and always willing to help. Easy to book taxi's which are very well priced (tend to be cheaper than the standard white taxi's that are used on the island) I believe the company used is Prestige cabs. We tried room service out one night, and it was excellent and was actually cheaper than expected! In summary an excellent hotel, with great staff, brilliant facilities and good central location - whats not to like! Collapse
