Stayed in Venice Tower, 22nd floor. Room was exactly as pictured here in Tripadvisor and the IHG Website. Sunkin living room and all. Check in took too long but once done I managed to find my room after walking through the smoke filled casino floor. Guess smoke comes with the territory. Elevators quick and room was nicely appointed with plenty of marble, gold and frilly bedspread. HVAC and internet worked well. Room equipped with stand up shower and separate tub. The shower was nice and did the job. Toilet located in its own room off bathroom. Small TV in bathroom. Well lit and roomy. Kudos to the bathroom. I brought my own coffee maker as the hotel I learned had no coffee maker. As you can imagine, anything from the mini-bar was expensive and tiny, like soda for $5. Don't even breathe near the minibar or it will cost you! Bed was on the soft side but comfortable. Two TV's which received a good many channels. Felt safe in hotel as they had a full time guard at the elevator entrance. Check out you could do over the TV in room so thankfully no need to stand in line to check out. The property could perhaps utilize kiosks for check in like the Flamingo. Would stay again and enjoyed my 2 night stay! Collapse

The Venetian Las Vegas is a beautiful property and every time I visit I'm reminded just how awesome this place is! Most recently I had a mini stay-cation when one of my friends came into town. If you are a person like me who loves a luxury kind of hotel then this place is one that you have to stay at least once! Standing 36 stories high, you will find this 5 diamond hotel and casino giving you the home away from home Venice, Italy feel. I've never been to Italy yet so I can't say how spot on the replica of being in the actual city of Venice is but based on what I've seen on the travel channel they do a pretty stellar job! The Rialto Bridge at the Venetian is one of my favorite spots because you get a great view of the Gondola rides from second floor balcony just outside the casino. I encourage everybody to do one of the Gondola rides whether it's on a romantic kind of ride or just with friends. Tons of attractions and beautiful artwork through the Grand Canal Shops! Check-in was a breeze as my friend plays a lot when he comes to town so we had a VIP check in experience and who doesn't like a fast and efficient check in? The front desk agent was so polite and even was able to get us upgraded from our originally booked Rialto Suite to the Piazza Suite! Awesome! I'm a member of the Mlife and don't really stay at other properties not in that family so it was nice to step outside of my comfort zone and experience another luxury property. This suite was AMAZING I literally didn't even want to leave the room! I'd suggest splurge if you can afford to and get into one of these suites! Overall our stay was fantastic and it even had me ready to join the Grazie membership at one point. I don't know maybe I need a few more visits before doing so but the property is amazing! Collapse

I was in Las Vegas for a conference last year, and was lucky enough to get to stay here! The conference itself was taking place in The Sands Expo Convention Center, which is attached to The Venetian. From bedroom to show-floor I'd say it was about a 15 minute walk - which isn't that far for Las Vegas! In addition to that, I didn't have to venture outside in the blazing summertime heat while wearing dress pants and a dress shirt - definitely a bonus! Because of the conference, I believe the hotel had added extra staff in the lobby to direct people and keep the check in process flowing quickly - or perhaps they are always this busy and it's a necessity. Regardless, the check in process went as fast and smooth as it possibly could, so hats off to them. My room itself was a bit of a hike (you'll recall I said 15 minutes to the show-floor). I had to take two different sets of elevators and walk down several long corridors to get to my tower from the main lobby. The one time I forgot my conference badge had me cussing myself out, as this now meant a near 30-minute round-trip to retrieve it. So lesson learned: Make sure you have everything you need before venturing to the lobby! ;-) The room I got was *massive* for one person. I believe it was one of their Standard Suites, which featured two queen beds and a sitting area. I counted three TV's in the room, none of which I think I even ever turned on! The bathroom is bright and immaculate, with marble counter tops, two sinks, a makeup desk, separate tub and shower, and separate room for the toilet. The view I got was the standard for me... parking lot and air-conditioning units - haha. The best part about The Venetian though, in my opinion, has to be the swimming pools! Between The Venetian and The Palazzo (the separate but attached hotel), there are 10 swimming pools in total. I challenge you to find all 10! Anyway, some of them are massive while others are smaller, but either way you'll be able to find one that suits you - be it fewer children, bar access, or amount of sun or shade that you are craving. My one knock on The Venetian would be the price... of everything. I believe a margarita at the pool bar was around $18 USD. And it was... OK. Vegas prices of course, and this is a higher end hotel, but you can definitely find better prices if you're willing to slum it just a bit. BUT, if you're looking to go to Vegas and feel like royalty, this could be the place for you! Collapse
