I just stayed at the Venetian Las Vegas for three nights to play in the March Extravaganza Poker tournaments. This was definitely a splurge because I have never paid more than $125 per night to stay in Las Vegas. Check-in was great; a greeter points you to the next available front desk employee, and I was in my suite in about 2 minutes. I was expecting a huge property, but the Venetian tower was a quick walk past the Food Court. The Food Court was very convenient since I was there to mainly play in the Poker Extravaganza and high limit blackjack. The poker room is probably the best in Las Vegas (check Bravo), and they do a great job running fun poker tournaments for regular working folks like me. Blackjack on the strip has gone downhill (6:5 blackjack for low rollers), but the Venetian still had 3:2 double deck with about 50% penetration. The dealers and supervisors were upbeat and happy to be working at the Venetian. Cocktail waitresses were amazing, and the drinks were top shelf. I was extremely happy to pick the Venetian for my vacation, and the staff exceeded my expectations. Collapse

The good: the hotel is very clean the rooms are big and the hotel is in a good location... good breakfast buffet at the grand lux ( must try ) the pools where clean and mostly heated and not too crowded yet. Big bathroom with shower and tub. Comfortable bed and very clean. Free parking. The bad: at check in we where not told really anything, the hotel is a big maze and it take a while to get to your room and several elevators to get around. The restaurant carnevenio is horrible ( we paid a good amount for a steak that I am pretty sure was microwaved and make me sick to look smell or even taste, after asked to throw it back on the gril for a second) . The mini fridge will automatically charge to your room if bottles move and if you need to store food you can not or you will be charged for 40 recalibration and full bar 190$ on your bill, good luck getting that back. No fridge to use or microwave or coffee maker. 40$ a day resort fee ( pretty common), I really felt like there was no information for trips or tours and as a consumer you get lost and no one gives you vital information. Tips: military can get a card for free parking around town ( found out last day, M life card or something) tons of Groupon deals for activities, try Ramsey’s restaurants we ate at two and they where amazing, the blue man group is amazing and bring a lock if you go to the Eiffel Tower to leave behind on the wall. Have fun ! Collapse

We stayed here on 2nd week of March with our toddler. We were pretty excited for our stay but at the end remained underwhelmed. The cleanliness was not up to the mark. When I opened the toilet cover for the first time it stank of poop. It was horrible and I had to flush few times to make that go away. The towels very pretty rough. The sofa and cushions were showing signs of wear and tear. But the worst part was we were charged $20 extra per night for so called view upgrade. No we didn’t get the strip view. We asked for it but were told it was $45 more so we declined. We had the pool view but we weren’t informed about extra charge at the checkin. The check out lady said “sorry you weren’t informed but you got to pay this”. My husband hates disputes while on vacation so he just paid the difference. Definitely not the 5 star experience. We have stayed at much cheaper Southern California beach resorts with lower star rating but top notch in cleanliness and better customer services. The 2 stars are for beautiful lobbies and plenty of dining options within the resort. Collapse

What a surprise to discover that all the rooms are suites! Our very spacious accommodations had 2 queen beds, a living room area with glass-topped table and 4 chairs. There was a TV in the sleeping area and one in the living room area. The bathroom was fit for royalty with twin sinks, a separate shower and tub and a separate room for the toilet. There was even a TV in the bathroom so that you could watch TV from the glass enclosed shower. There were plenty of mirrors throughout and a vanity with an excellent magnifying mirror, which is greatly appreciated. Everything looked newly decorated and painted. It was definitely one of the most luxurious rooms we have ever stayed in both in the US and Europe. From the incredible reception area to St. Mark's Square, the Grand Canal and the landmarks on the exterior, everything is an amazing replication of the original in Italy. The Grand Canal Shops are another option to gambling in the casino or dining in one of the many fine restaurants or the food courts. The location is convenient for visiting some of the other casinos on Las Vegas Blvd. or browsing the grand, upscale Fashion Show Mall practically across the street. The pool areas accommodate a large number of guests and are spread out over an area that adjoins the pools at the Palazzo. The pool on the 10th floor is absolutely lovely and quieter, although not as sunny. It was truly a wonderful stay. Collapse
