My mother and I spent a glorious week at the Vanity Hotel in Alcudia. We were greeted with a glass of cava from a wonderful receptionist. She spent the time to explain about the facilities. Very helpful and professional. When we went to our room. I was pleasantly surprised. The photos on their website don't do it justice. The room was lovely and clean. With good size twin beds. We had a side sea view balcony. Which did have good views, across the pool to the sea. We would of liked a full sea front view. Unfortunately like many international hotels. The suites and upgraded sea views only came with a double or king size bed, and was geared to couples. Shame really. As I am sure a lot of friends or family. Would like that extra bit of luxury. However we were still happy and settled into our room. Lots of space for luggage and clothing. The bathroom is a bit small. Could do with hooks behind the door. It was more than adequate though. Food: Excellent breakfast. Everything you can think of. Lots of choices of fresh fruit. Please ignore the other review about just having tinned fruit. It's simply not true. There is fresh bread in abundance. And egg station, cereals, other hot items. Too many to mention here. Nice coffee. We loved our breakfast. We were on half board. Most nights were themed. Although being a international set decorator. The props were a bit low key to really get the full flavour of the theme of the night. The Mexican night had a few sombreros on the walls and limes on tables. Doesn't quite do it. The food was great though. The highlight for me though was the sushi. Some of the best I have tasted. Just really wonderful fresh food, thank you to the chef who prepared it. On the summer barbeque dinner. We all sat at communal tables. It's great to mix with other guests. However it isn't our thing to be seated on a Brexit style table where we are all English with a British flag. Don't get me wrong I love my fellow men and women from the UK. I like though on holiday or travelling abroad to mix with other nationalities as well as English. Especially when my mother is Italian. She spent more time leaning over to talk to a Swiss couple who spoke Italian on another table. Everyone else on our table wanted to talk about Brexit. Not something I wanted to do on my holiday. Maybe give guests a choice with a table labelled "INTERNATIONAL". In this modern age it gives more freedom and openness to mix with other cultures and ideas. I did question the table arrangement when we sat down to the waiter. 'Why' are we seating on this British table I said?. He replied. Because we all spoke English. Doesn't most of the world. The rest of the hotel is lovely. Nice pool, plenty of clean towels. Cava all day. We did have lunch most days at the Mirablau. Nice food. Would of liked more choices of simple green/vegetable salads, without any meat, fish, fruit or olives. To sum up the hotel. It has quality with really friendly staff who are most welcoming. We enjoyed our week. Wish we could of stayed longer. We will be back. Thank you also to Gian Lugi for your warmth and hospitality. You are a credit to the Vanity Hotel, and run this hotel to an exceptional high standard. Collapse

This hotel has nice rooms with good air-conditioning and wi-fi. It is clean and well maintained with nice attentive staff. We were on holiday with friends who were staying elsewhere. Although we paid for half-board we never intended having an evening meal, but given the breakfast I doubt we would have been tempted. Breakfast was tinned fruit, supplemented by poor quality ingredients. The muesli was fairly awful and tasted like it was from a red cross parcel. Shame really because for not a lot of effort or cost it could all have been a 100% better. Parking is an issue, very limited and you have to be brave to stick it anywhere legal. My worst complaint was the gym. More than pathetic, the air conditioning only worked in half the room, in the glazed area is was like a sauna. Both bikes were unusable, one for the want of batteries, the other with a fault code. The treadmills were not matched and were of dubious quality and vintage. The rest of the equipment came off noahs ark. The Technogym multigym had a broken seat, the rest of the weights were fairly rusty and uninspiring. Again for the sake of £30k this could be a good facility. Without them addressing the gym I would never consider staying there again, but I appreciate for many people the gym is unimportant on their holiday. Collapse

We booked this as a package throuogh Jet2.com which worked out cheaper than booking the flights and hotel separately. The hotel is very peaceful and has beautiful gardens and pool area. When we were there most of the guests were german and most of the guests were over 40. We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very nice. Cava at breakfast (and free from the bar all day) was a nice touch. Sunbeds were padded and comfy. All the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable we had a side view. The only negative was that the bathroom was quite small. There are a couple of nice restaurants nearby Giardini's, Don Pedro and Carabela steak house. We also ate out at Las Sirenas near the harbour and the Aqua bar at the end of the harbour was nice for night time cocktails. This was a lovely hotel and would definitely stay again. The only negative was the small bathroom and the fact that the bar shut at 1100pm on the dot which was a shame. Collapse

We stayed here for a relaxing week in April 2017 and thoroughly recommend the hotel. Food and hotel + grounds were very good and kept spotlessly clean. The professional cocktails produced in the great hotel bar were a highlight. The staff really do take pride and we were persuaded to try the Mallorca gin which was very good. The hotel also served lots of local dishes that I was very happy to eat. The staff are an asset and my highlight was a massage by Ellena/Helena? who I do remember is from Belarus. The spa booking system is a bit of a nightmare as they were so busy but after asking reception to help as I'd been forgotten, I was relieved to get my massage slot which was very good and was only let down by the massage room which felt a little bit clinical and stark. The treatment though was great. Ellena/Helena also gave me a demonstration of exercises to help my neck/ shoulders. Thanks Vanity Golf. Your staff are an asset. Collapse
