We went to Minorca several years ago, and that time we had a Villa with a car in Binibeca. We "Did" the Island and were disappointed that a lot of the restaurants were closed down for the end of the season. This time we only went for a week, didn't bother hiring a car (as we had been there done that) and booked a Half board hotel. We had a brilliant holiday!!! The Hotel was fab, staff were fab, food was fab! The resort was lovely. There were still a few restaurants open so we had some super duper lunches. And generally loved the relaxed atmosphere. The hotel pool area was quiet and tranquil and there was only one couple that did the reserving sun loungers thing, which made them look rather pathetic, as there was never a shortage. When we booked we paid extra for a room with a view of the pool, so glad we did, we had a fab room and could just walk out to the pool (although not all pool view rooms have that facility, we were just lucky) We were told by reception that it was a long walk around to our room, but that the porter would show us a shortcut, which he did. So after that we just cut across the pool area to our room instead of walking all the way around. We only did the route march on our first and last day! Entertainment was indoors, as it was the time of year when rain could be expected. So there was no noise in the pool area, We loved it would definitely go again in October, it was still hot, and it was great that there were no crowds. Loved the little attention to detail things like fresh flowers in the bathroom, the pillow menu, laminated list of television channels, and a bottle of cava to welcome us and another on my Husbands birthday (which we had not told them about!) Brilliant relaxed holiday......and yes, Stephan we love you! Collapse

We returned to this lovely hotel again on 7/10 for a week our previous visit was in May this year. I had been in touch with the Hotel to ask if we could have the same room as last time overlooking the Marina and was very pleased they had organised this. This really is a lovely Hotel Im a bit puzzled at some reviews and wonder if these people were actually in the same Hotel as us. We didnt join in the "putting towels on sunbed at crack of dawn brigade" there was no need but you still get the minority who have to stake their ownership of the same sunbed for the whole week we were quite happy to relax on the terrace in the very comfy chairs and "granny nap". We noticed that this time there was a good mix of ages unlike May when we felt we were the youngest there and were early 50,s . The rooms are spacious well equipped and extremely clean and we loved the knock on our door at 7pm and a lovely lady giving us chocolates every night something that must be new as this didnt happen in May it was a lovely touch. To us the food cannot be faulted loads of choice and something to suit everyone obviously you do get those that say it was repetative and boring again were they in the same Hotel ! Our only gripe regarding the restaurant is the closeness of the tables and the fact that you are shown to your table this is ok if Gloria does it but it Snr Ramez (think thats his name) shows you he takes you past empty tables that are situated by themselves and sits you on the crammed together ones he only did this one night and I hated it you cannot have a conversation without the people either side of you listening it made me very uncomfortable as a result we ate on the outside tables after that from observing him he does like to seat the Spanish guests at the better tables but my way of thinking was in the end its my holiday Ive paid for it I will sit where I want to. Really it is a lovely hotel so I wont let it spoil it I just will play him at his own game on our next visit in May 2017 The resort itself was very quiet most restaurants were closed or did close whilst we we there we went to Cuitadella on the bus one day and when we got back they had even packed up the Hotels terrace and bar overlooking the Marina Dont hesitate to book this hotel it really is one of the nicest ones we have ever stayed in its converted us from AI ones as the little touches here and of course the staff that make it a little gem Collapse

We have stayed in many hotels over the years and this one comes in our top five. On arrival we were given cool moist hand towels which were very welcome after our journey from the Airport. Check-in was very fast and efficient. Our room was on the first floor, overlooking the pool. We got the sun on our large balcony from early afternoon, until just before the sun went down. The room was large and had a fridge and coffee and tea making facilities. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was excellent . On our first night we were sitting on our balcony before dinner, when a waiter arrived with a small bottle of bubbles with two glasses. We thought this was a very nice welcoming touch by the management . On other reviews for this hotel some people have criticised the food, which I found unbelievable as we found the both breakfast and evening meal had plenty of choice and was of a very good standard. The pool area was really nice and there was always sufficient beds to use even though some of the people staying at the hotel and were unable to read the signs that said it was against the rules to reserve beds around the pool. The entertainment every night was very good and was popular with the hotel guests sitting inside and outside the hotel. The thing hat makes this hotel one of the best ones we have stayed at, is without a doubt, the staff. From the receptionist, the porter that took our luggage to our room, the ladies who cleaned our room, the waiters and waitresses to the maintenance staff, they have be the nicest and friendliest staff that we have ever had, which made the experience at the hotel very special. We got back home on Saturday after a wonderful week and on Tuesday we have booked up to te turn to the hotel, the week it opens for the season next year. Collapse
One week on a perfect island, but staying in an odd hotel.

The hotel was the strangest I had ever been to, I even got lost once, which was slightly disconcerting. The whole complex encircles the swimming pool, and there is only one entrance, so it feels like you walk for ages to get to A to B. As for any peace, forget it, the pool side rooms have to contend with sunbathers chatting all day, and blaring musical entertainment in the evening until 23.30. The marina view rooms are slightly better, but again, awful loud bands from 21.30 to 23.30 every night. the other rooms are quieter, only traffic. However the food is sublime, the staff excellent, and all areas very good for disabled access. Collapse
