The hotel is fantastic. The rooms are very good. The complex is first rate and has two pools and a spa area. There is also a fully equipped gyn. The staff are friendly and provide an excellent service. Would recommend booking half board as the buffet style breakfast and evening meal caters for all tastes. Booked a few trips from the hotel booking desk. Ana Zadro offered exceptional service and could not have been more helpful which made our holiday stress free. Made our holiday in Valamar Lacroma a pleasurable experience thanks the wonderfull staff. Would also like to thanks Franka on reception who made several phone calls to find a favourite missing sock that had been misplaced in the laundry. The sock is now happily paired with its other half lol. And finally we were greeted every day by the beeping smile of Filip at breakfast and evening meal. He was very helpful and informative to locate sports bar and places of interest. Would definitely go back again - 5 star rating. Collapse

This is third time I visited the hotel. First two time I was attending a congress which was held in the Hotel and this time we spent a week on family vacation. My conclusion is that the hotel is excellent - as a business place as well as a vacation resort. We really enjoy. The staff is excellent, the food is amazing. Nearby hotel there are three beaches, if someone is not interested in the large outdoor or indoor pools. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. Collapse

I had two rooms for my husband and I and our two teenage children. A beautiful hotel and a beautiful location of Bain Kuk. Great facilities as you can go to the other Valamar properties so plenty for kids to do. Food good and all facilities excellent, a very clean resort. The only slight criticism was when checking out (we had a late flight) we asked if we could leave our bags somewhere safe. They offered a room to the left or reception, when we got to this room there is no supervision and we just took our bags in. No one questioned us as to what we were doing there which was rather concerning. We went back on a couple of occasions to drop off other bags and still no one questioned us. When we finally went to collect our bags a couple were complaining they had had something stolen. The man talking to the couple was rather laid back and again we were not questioned as we went into the room. This could easily have been controlled to limit risk and ensure guests feel more assured when leaving their luggage. This was the only area that could have been improved upon really, the food was excellent the buffet selection at breakfast and dinner (if dining in) was extensive. All staff were so helpful. There is a bus stop right outside of hotel which takes you on the 25 minute journey into the old town (which is incredible) they charge about 15 Kuna per person one way. Most of the time it was actually cheaper to get an Uber, particularly when leaving the old city at night as just getting on to a bus in peak season can be a real bun fight, standing room only and I repeatedly saw fellow travellers miss their stop as they couldn't get off the bus in time. Just returned from a week at this hotel. We stayed on a B&B basis. Firstly the rooms are very nice and tick all the boxes. A sea view is a must, all rooms have a mini bar /fridge and tea and coffee. The beds are comfortable and large, just ask for extra pillows if required. Shower works well and you can drink the tap water. The breakfast was really good, loads of choices, hot and cold and plenty of seats, no matter what time you go they are still cooking fresh food. The price of drinks are a little high, but you can take advantage of the drink packages available. We did and got to taste some good wine, prosecco, branded spirits and great cocktails. You have to take the package for the minimum of 3 days, ( we only had 3 days left), or the full duration of your stay and both adults have to pay. But we found it worth it. The beach that is close by is ok, but I don't think guests should pay for the sunbeds. Valamar should look at making it free for all Valamar guests as long as you are in a Valamar hotel. Overall, this was a great holiday, great hotel and great memories. I would have no problems recommending this hotel. Collapse

My experience of this hotel is pretty similar to others. The hotel is comfortable, clean and modern. Our room was comfortable and the outdoor space was great. The facilities are excellent and the transport into the old city are convenient and easy to access. I didn't find the staff rude but at check-in for example the only information given was where the room was, but nothing about meal times etc which I found strange. Its a small thing but it meant that we felt a bit lost even after we'd checked-in. There was plenty of space around the pool and the gardens were well maintained. What I didn't about this hotel was the constant 'churn' of people on tours, not the people themselves, but the noise that coach loads of people made exiting rooms. My lasting impression of this hotel is being constantly woken up in the morning by people banging luggage about and chattering in the corridors as they left. I know there is always turnover in hotels but this one had a high proportion of people on tours staying which seemed to exacerbate the situation. In honestly I don't know what the hotel can do to make their guests more considerate, but it was annoying at the time and it under-mined many of the other positives about staying here. Collapse
