If you need a hotel (we paid double because Antwerp was fully booked) and have no standards, with a good location it might be good but ... It was pre-booked ... it took more than an hour to check in The hotel is in serious decay, plaster hanging from walls, paint and carpets stained, things not working The reception area is gloomy and dark although clean The guy at the reception was simply incapable, the girl (and I felt sorry for her) was trying to cope but was swamped in system and process failures, despair in her eyes The bill was wrong ... twice , with an explanation that would be just insulting any 10 year old's intelligence (the guy) Unfriendly and un-engaged, disconnected with the reality of a 'very' annoyed customer (the guy) It took ages to check out... I could add a few things but I guess you can grasp the overall drift ... Collapse

We had a 3 days reservation through Booking .com and the final invoice was almost 70 GBP higher than the confirmed reservation . The lobbies are pitch dark (at least on the third floor) with wasted paint on the plaster walls and heavily stained carpets . Place is almost derelict with horrible smells and stains all over , the room we were given had so thin plaster walls that when the next room guy was slamming the door the wall behind the bed was wobbling . The rooms separating walls are so thin that you end up sharing your floor neighbour abdominal problems and ALL conversations left and right are heard all over the floor . Walls behind the curtains are with unfinished masonry works and wasted paint , room carpets heavily stained and smelly . During our stay we notices vomit traces in the lift and noise coming from the machinery was alarming Extremely rude and arrogant personnel at the reception - they will surcharge you without blinking and then just throw the invoice over the counter asking you to knock off . A lot of " hidden " costs and additional taxes you are never informed beforehand , they are tell you that the breakfast is charged 10 Euros and you end up paying 15 actually (still no explanation except " this is the system " and a very aggressively rude attitude from the reception people) breakfast is bare the minimum egg powder omelette with artificially flavored orange juice with optional slices of cheap cheese and shinny salami slices. The bill shows 10 Euros for the breakfast but the " real cost" is 15 and nobody can explain reasonably why - just " this is the system " blank statement . Collapse

We are at this hotel right now and let's start with the good things: 1. The bed is gigantic and very comfortable. We are both very very tall Dutchies so hurray for this bed. 2. Room size (we're in 801) is very good and the view is cool too even though it is not the city center we're facing. 3. Like the chair, the lamps and the floor Now for the things I don't like see Pictures for bad stuff...it is a design hotel or so they say but when it comes to just the touches that make it designer....na-ah.. 1.fungus on the bathroom wall, shower curtain rail keeps falling off and the door won't close properly so...not too nice if you need a bathroom break. 2. Closed curtains Hide away the seriously bad painting job in this room and the wall that seems to just fall apart... 3. Walking out of the hotel you have to hold your breath unless you are a smoker. I am not. Here to run the 10 mile race and smoking ...horrible. 4. Locatie location. ... not too far off but...well ...not too close by either. 5. Would n't go for overpriced breakfast. Take a 10 minute walk and head for le pain qoutidien at the station. That will set you back about 15 euro pp as well but you'll get a seriously good organic breakfast and not the prefab hotel stuff. Okay if you're a talk Dutchie that kind of knows the way around Antwerp this hotel is allright. I mean it's a good sleep....but that is about it and you should n't be scared of a little wear and tare and fungus. Collapse

Made a booking for this property through Booking.com. From the pictures, the property looked great but once I was there in person, it became clear that the lobby and the rooms are most likely recent renovations. Despite the recent renovations, sloppy paint jobs were evident, 1 of the 2 clothes hook behind the bathroom door was loose. Hallways were dark and the elevators were clearly old. When I first step into the property, the lobby smelled like sweat. It was not a pleasant smell to walk into. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and provided good support. It was a short 15min walk from the central station and rental bikes are easily available near the hotel. There are some great places to eat if you walk around the area behind the hotel. This property have potential but first they need to get the small details right. For a comfortable stay this hotel fits the bill, but if you are expecting something fancy, look someplace else. The hotel is located within walking distance from the city center. Next to the hotel you find a supermarket (Delhaize) and several bars/ restaurants Some members of the reception are extremely rude and gossip about other guests in front of guests. The hotel needs an urgent refurbishment, however the rooms are very clean and functional. I can recommend this place for people who are travelling on a low budget. Collapse
