Comparing to the other hotels same area, the price is good and clean. The parking is free and the food is fine although there are not many choices. The front desk staff is ok but not so helpful. The staffs in carving are friendly and good.

I enjoyed staying at the Tropicana Hotel. Rooms are spacious and look like they have been remolded. Nice Rooms. Close to MGM and Monte Carlo Hotels which I was attending concerts to this weekend. Great Location.

Room was left with food from other previous guests. I've stayed at other Hilton hotels and I've had a better experience. Cleaning crew need to make sure all tables are clean and no crumbs are left behind.

This hotel is really beautiful and has the tropical theme throughout with wooden shutters and palms in rooms; however the customer service is diabolical and it is a basic hotel with not many amenities. They confused the booking before we even left UK, by thinking we wanted two twin bedded rooms, we actually wanted one twin bedded room. I received a very curt unprofessional response when I tried to clarify this. Virgin got in touch with the hotel Management as they refused to respond to me. I was offered a complimentary upgrade due to being ignored for months. The reception is the slowest I have ever seen and everyone was complaining about being kept in lines for hours. When we arrived there were only 6 people in front of us and 4 reception staff and it took an hour before we were seen. The staff kept walking off all the time. The website and hotel brochure states there is a complimentary bus that runs from several of the hotels including The Tropicana to the Town Square. This is false information, there is no such bus at all. When we arrived they had put us in a room next to the lift and we were kept awake all night, every night. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the bath water would not run away down the plug hole. We were told that they could not rectify this problem as they would have to turn all the water off for the whole hotel. Eventually after getting in touch with the Virgin Concierge we were offered to change rooms at 11 pm. I went all the way to the 18th floor to check the room and meet the Security Manager there only to be told that there was a family still in the room. I got back in touch with reception and told them this; no apologies at all. They promised to get back to me and despite many chase ups never got back to me at all, apart from a message from Jessica one of the Managers left on my room phone asking me to ring her. So I did and the call was redirected to Reception who kept me hanging on for ages, with different people picking up the phone and asking me what I wanted and me having to explain the whole scenario over and again. Eventually I was told that Jessica was too busy to talk to me and that was the end of that basically. The brochure in the room clearly states that you can purchase stamps to Europe at reception. I tried this and was told that they do not sell stamps to the UK but if I put 2 US stamps on a postcode this would get the card to the UK, so I purchased 10 stamps.. Another time I tried this I was told this was wrong and 2 stamps would not get the cards to the UK. I asked what about the cards already sent; they did not know. I asked to speak to a Manager, but they are never around, so they got a very snotty Supervisor to speak with me instead who advised me that if I leave a postcard with them, they take it to their business centre and post it at a charge of $2.00 per postcard, which is expensive and a con. I later found out that it only costs $0.68 to send letters to the UK and postcards are always cheaper to send. I complained to the Virgin Concierge again and they promised to look into it, but no-one from the hotel got back to us at all. After returning to the UK in July 2017 I complained to Virgin and they are still awaiting a response from the hotel who are just ignoring Virgin and the Tropicana is a Virgin recommended hotel with Virgin Concierge based there, but that makes no difference to these extremely unprofessional people. Via facebook I managed to get a Manager to eventually respond who could NOT respond to the stamp situation as he did not have this information to hand; whatever that means. The Manager did offer us two night complimentary stay at the hotel. However I explained that it is too far to travel from the UK for just two nights, as we would not recover from jet lag. I politely asked if we could have two buffet breakfasts instead (which was a lot cheaper than to stay for two nights) as we were now staying at another hotel, The Excalibur in October 2017. The Manager refused, stating that the breakfast restaurant is being refurbished, which does not make sense, as this restaurant was immaculate; the hotel having recently been refurbished. I then asked if we could have some chips for gambling instead, as we were going to use their casino whilst there. The Manager refused this also. The Manager ignored me for 10 days and when I complained stated that he cannot answer emails as he is usually down on the casino floor. Very unprofessional. The Manager has since ignored me completely. They are still ignoring Virgin Holidays. I would not recommend this hotel at all, which is a shame as it is such a beautiful hotel and is actually a Hilton. However I then got in touch with Hilton who credited me with enough points to stay at their Hampton Hilton at Gatwick North Terminal when we travel back to Las Vegas in October 2017, so not a complete lost. But I certainly would not recommend the Tropicana Las Vegas to anyone as the staff just do not care and are extremely unprofessional and do not seem to know what is going on at all. Collapse
