We stayed in this hotel for two nights and I would never go back. The website is very misleading and the room looks nothing like what you see on the website. We paid for a double room but received 2 single beds in a extremely small and outdated room. There were crumbs under the sheet which led me to believe that the sheets in the room were not changed. The milk in the room for tea was past its expiry date and when I brought this to the hotels managements attention after our stay I was told that this was hard to believe. I also think that when the website states complimentary parking it should be made much clearer that this is not for the car park beside the hotel!!! Terrible experience! Collapse

I came down to Waterford for a few nights, because I just wanted some time alone, to unwind, amongst my travels. Walked into this hotel right off the street and asked for a room. Was offered a very good price, and I was really pleased with everything. Bed was average but still comfortable. Digital TV with lots of stations. Tea and coffee facilities. Everything was very clean. When I decided to stay an extra night right before check time, the staff had no problem accommodating me and housekeeping even returned to my room. Really enjoyed my stay!! Collapse

We went last week for 3 nights (2 adults and 3 children) When we arrived at 3 pm we were told that our room wasn't ready and were asked to sit in the lobby and they would let us know when it was ready. I went back to the check in desk at 3.45 to ask and was given the cards to our room. The room was ok, kids were delighted with the bunk beds, went to the bathroom to wash my hands and the plug in the sink was blocked, washed my hands in the bath and when I did lots of hairs came up from the plug hole. Went to reception to tell them and was told that it would be sorted out later that day, when we were leaving it still hadn't even been looked at! We went to the restaurant the first night, the food was disgusting so we went to the bar the following 2 nights and the food and staff were lovely. My kids wanted to go to the "buffet" dinner in the kids club so we paid €750 for each of them to go, when we dropped them up there was no buffet, there was a dinner for each of them (frozen chips, a sausage and nuggets) The lady (assistant manager) that was doing it was not a nice person she told my 6 year old that she couldn't have her doll beside her. My older daughter told me that anyone who left anything the lady took the leftover food and put it on the other children's plates. The pool was lovely but the changing room could do with some cubicles. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, we will never set foot in it again. Collapse
Security needs to be reviewed. Not a pleasant experience

Reasonable priced clean room. Slight smell from the pipes in the bathroom unfortunately. Breakfast was OK. Unfortunately we stayed with a child and I would not recommend staying with children. We were woken on numerous occasions between 2-5am with groups shouting and arguing in the corridor outside of our room, on one occasion feeling quite uncomfortable given the level of the argument between two men which appeared to be escalating quite seriously and was going on for a long time before anyone intervened. The hotel needs to consider their level of security at night for guests not to feel afraid or intimidated. The crowd seemed quite rough given the conversations and arguments we heard during this period. Unfortunately the fire alarm also went off in the early hours and although the hotel staff could do little about it, the lack of communication was disappointing while standing in the lobby for a long time with a small child. The costumer relations manager was slightly unprofessional and dramatic in the morning when explaining the incident and said that it was her staff's "fault" for not communicating, where really what clearly needs to be said is that staff will be supported to know how to deal with situations such as this in future rather than blaming them outright. I'm sure it was also a very difficult situation for them. Collapse

We had a decent stay here for our Easter Break. We stayed here for 3 nights with our 3 children to further explore Waterford. Booking in was efficient and the staff were nice on arrival particularly Daniel and he was very helpful and professional. However shortly after arriving in our room we discovered some rubbish on the shelves and a dirty pint glass behind the bed and a poorly hovered floor. Obviously from previous guests the room had not been properly cleaned. All was resolved however very quickly by the staff. The room was a decent size but the kids bunk bed was not properly fitted with sheets and blankets so we had to rustle the beds together ourselves. Air ventilation was poor and there seemed to be a smell in the room but the good air conditioning did help. In the bathroom the shower screen seemed a little cumbersome when trying to was the kids. Also the lock on the bathroom door could not be locked. Bathroom was however very clean. It was a really good hotel for the kids offering a kids club every morning and evening which we made use of. The hotel bar also featured a kids zone which was excellent. The hotel in our opinion does need a revamp and some general consistency when it come to cleaning throughout. The swimming pool was good and water was warm but again the changing rooms require updating and the ladies changing room had a really bad smell. Also in order to use the Gym you need to first go downstairs to get a code at the swimming pool and then go back upstairs to the Gym. A little bit inefficient but the Gym did seem well equipped. Food in the bar was nice and reasonably priced with good choice. Breakfast choice seemed limited with no real continental options and the hot food wasn't of the highest quality we all felt. Only on the last morning was the hot food of a better quality and taste. Location was excellent and parking was free with close access. We would certainly love to stay here again providing the housekeeping was up to standard and a few little things were improved. Marian the customer service manager was amazing and her presence throughout the hotel was very warming and welcoming. A big shout out to her :-) Collapse
