Myself and my husband spent last weekend in Waterford and stayed in the Tower Hotel. We feel we got great value for our money. We were given a lovely clean fresh room on the third floor which looked like it had just recently been done up. We had a beautiful view of Reginald Tower literally right outside our window and the River Suir further on from that. It was perfect. The staff on reception were wonderfully friendly and helpful too. We didn't have dinner or a drink in the hotel as there was so much going on in Waterford that day and night, (live music open air events), but we had breakfast the next morning and it was lovely. The beauty of this hotel is that it is central to everything. Reginald Tower is right across the road, Waterford Crystal is 5 minutes walk up the road, and the same with the other 2 museums in the town. Shopping and eating, again, are just 5 minutes walk up the road, so it was easy to just pop back to the hotel at any time to change or drop stuff off. We will definitely come back with the children and make use of the leisure centre next time. It was our first time in Waterford City and we loved it. Collapse

100% not value for money, no bath, desk in room was all chipped, TV was at lest 10 years old, carpet was dirty, my view out the window was of the air conditioning on the roof, breakfast was nice but was not included and I had to pay an extra €10 on top of €100 for one night, walls were so thin I could hear the man next door snoring and kids running up and down halls until 11:30pm, I would come back for maybe 70 per night but definitely not 110! Rooms was the most ugliest rooms i have ever stayed in but that wasnt even the worst part. When me and my parter went down to complain the older lady with the glasses behind the reception was the rudest person i have ever come across everything we had to say about how bad our room was she had an answer for everything and clearly was no good at customer service her attitude alone annoyed all my family she should not be working around people nevermind a hotel i have never been so disgusted in my life i hope she doesnt work there for long it was not fair how she spoke to anyone. She ruined the whole stay but the rooms are not worth what they charge. Collapse

Room is completely different to how it looks on the website. Extra charge for breakfast when you get there. When you are told its included. No security on night times to tell drunk people to keep it down.... woken up repeatedly all throughout the night. Wasnt even on the same floor level ad family. To finish off i have never ever witnessed such rude and sarcastic reception staff the lady had a horrible professional answer for everything we complained about. Example: our telly in our room was almost 30 years old and the picture was purple.... her reply was fix it then..... this isnt the worst but she was the rudest lady i have ever come across and ive been in customer service for a good while. Do noy recommend thus hotel everything else in waterford is fantastic. Collapse

I am in a wheelchair and booked a wheelchair accessible twin room with accessible bathroom. Everything was top class. All the staff were super friendly. Good access in the hotel. The breakfast was superb and really sets you up for the day. Just a slight criticism would be that there is a wheelchair toilet in reception which I found to be very small. I could not use it. I had to use the one in my room which was no problem but if you were just having food in the hotel it would be very difficult. I will stay there again and it is Very central. Thanks to all the staff. Will be back soon. Collapse
