We recently had our wedding reception at the Tower Hotel. The staff and organization was amazing, everything was so smooth on the day and our guests have nothing but great things to say about the staff, their professionalism and efficiency. The meal was amazing and all of our guests have continuously commented how nice it was. We cannot thank the staff enough for their great work. The hotel is spacious well maintained, bright and welcoming. We also stayed for two nights and the accommodation was so nice, comfortable and spacious. I cannot recommend the Tower Hotel enough as a venue for an event or for a weekend away. Great location and close to all amenities. Collapse

I've been to many weddings at the Tower, dmchristmas Partys, lunches, meals out, even a coffee date - spanning back @15 years or more if you consider my Debs Ball back in 199........ ! A few fundraisers, a course or four for work, 30th party and a christening party. I had t realised how much I've been a customer until I made that list. I've always been satisfied with service and food - it's always clean and professional staff are helpful. My last visit was a work business function and though it was for a short period the room was set up with all you would need with tea coffee and finger food. The sandwiches were to die for so fresh!! I can't recall ever being disappointed really! Ooohhhh great carvery every day in the bar and the restaurant is good too Collapse

Arrived to a very friendly receptionist. She was very helpful and informative. Reception area was spacious and bright. The room was very comfortable. Good quality beds with all the usual amenities available. The only gripe with the room was the bathroom. It was absolutely TINY. You couldn't move in it and trying to close the door with you in it was near impossible. The door skims the toilet seat as you are closing it. The shower was very poor also. I did ask for an upgrade but was advised none were available. Receptionist advised they were very busy for the next 6 nights. We ate in the bar and were served by a very friendly, humorous lady. Food was of a good quality and reasonably priced. Cant fault the bar staff either. In fact every member of staff we met was very pleasant and helpful. Attended a conference in the hotel also. Good big room, but the air conditioning kept having to be turned off because we couldn't hear the speakers with it on so the facility got uncomfortable hot. Staff were apologetic for this. Overall would recommend this hotel. It was reasonably priced at €75 for a single occupancy room midweek B&B. They need to look at layout of bathrooms though, maybe replace the bath with a shower unit in their tiny bathrooms? Collapse

Stayed at the Tower to attend a family birthday in Waterford. Everything from the room to the staff was 1st class, but most importantly was the honesty of the lady that cleaned my room as she found over £100 that I had forgotten to take when leaving. Management rang me to inform me that she had handed it in and they would send it to me. The tower obviously employ good, honest people, very important !! Collapse

I was meeting people in the hotel for a business lunch but unfortunately forgot my wallet. Initially the receptionist wasvery unhelpfil and would not entertain my company callingwith credit card details in exchange for cash. Thankfilly i thought to ask (after 15 min trying a number of other ideas) to ask if my company could call and buy a voucher which could be used to purchase food. Thankfully we could (although the receptionist should have suggested it immediately). I had travelled down from Dublin that day and as i was coming into waterford the petrol light went on. After lunch i rang a number of local petrol stations to see if they would take payment overthe phone. None would. Thankfully i got chatting to one of the waiters. A decent local Irish guy who was very helpful. I explained my predicament to him. He proceded to ring his mother who worked in a petrol station just outside of town. She confirmed they would take the payment and i duly travelled out to the station, refuelled and madeit back to Dublin. That waiters attitude and assistance went far above the level of cusyomer service you can expect normally in any 5 star hotel and he was a credit to the hotel. Since that day i have not passed the hotel without dropping in for lunch or a coffee. Unfortunately i cannot remember his name. But would like to thank him none the less. Collapse
