I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my 4 year old daughter. First impression from the outside was that the hotel looked dated and in need of a refurb. Same to be said for the reception area. Ground floor smells of drains which wasn't pleasant. Our room (311) was comfortable and had a stunning sea view but again the room needs a lick of paint and a refurb. The air conditioning is sub standard and is noisy. The best thing about this hotel though has to be the food. It was great with lots of variety and something different for my daughter to eat every day. I didn't enjoy the seating arrangements as it was a bit of a free for all. If you didn't leave something on the table whilst you got your food you could almost guarantee that it would be taken by another guest. A more personal service with tables already made up would make a big difference. The kids club was virtually non existent and the mini disco in the evening was too late, starting at 9pm and finishing about 40 minutes later. Overall I would rate the food 4 stars + but the accommodation and service at 3 stars. This hotel has so much potential due to its stunning location and size. If it were given some serious TLC and an ethos of always putting every customer first it could well become a 5 star establishment again one day. Collapse

This could be a better hotel with a few improvements. The rooms are reasonably comfortable and good size but fittings are old and a/c is noisy and inefficient. The garden and pools are adequate and not too crowded. Biggest downside is the service standard. I never saw anymore than 2 staff on the desk and queues at peak times are lengthy. At the bars, it's the same. Staff in the coffee bars just serve whoever they like. No respect for the queue and Spanish customers got preferential service. One kind Spanish guy complained to the staff it was so bad! The staff also look miserable and uninterested. Collapse

This is avery nice hotel which I enjoyed. My room 408 was very nice with a great view. Breakfast was good. The location is a walk from the strip but is hilly. Get a taxi to the marina. The garden by the pool is lovely. My A/C unit blocked sending lots of water into my room. The service man fixed it quickly but it affected the wooden floor and was late at night when I was very tired. I was never contacted by management or received any apology which stopped me giving the hotel five stars. Collapse

I have mixed feelings from this hotel. It is a large 4-star hotel connected with a casino and a showroom where various shows are presented. The hotel is first and foremost a smaller maze, which you will get used to for a few days. So if you go for a weekend, you will be totally miserable. It is not only a hotel but also a place where weddings and various celebrations, performances, as well as local parking, etc. snd everything is mixed together. The hotel consists of a hotel reception and a casino reception, located in the middle of two 11 floor buildings with guests rooms and also have 3 more underground floors. On the northern side there is a 11 floor building called the Malaga Tower and on the south 11 floor building called Marbella Tower. So you can get the accommodation in one of them. We were accommodated in the 7th floor Malaga Tower overlooking the sea and the Best Benalmadena Hotel...beach, roundabout and parking, and in the distant Port of Benalmadena. Check the photo. There are 3 elevators in each building that work very efficiently, so dont be afraid to wait long for a lift or for a long journey. The room was spacious with a large balcony, bathroom with a bathtub, two sinks and has separate toilet. Air conditioning, TV with about 43 programs, mini fridge (you can order drinks, no all inclusive) and safe which was free of charge - this is not a standard. The bathroom standard equipment is hairdryer, bottles with a shampoo, shower gel, soap and towels that are changed whenever the room was cleaned. The only thing I missed was the dryer on the balcony. I didnt like that the double bed was made up of two single beds and balcony door was not able to lock. Overall, I rate the room very well. You can spend time at the mini gym, saunas, covered spa pool or on the tennis court (tennis court is payed). Hotel has pretty garden with sun beds, pool bar you can have a drink, two swimming pools and one children's pool. The sun beds are free of charge, but they are mostly occupied by the selfish people early morning, just throw their towel over the sunbed and they appear later, maybe after a couple of hours. Hotel is not interested, or does not want to solve it. But this happens in most of the hotels. Second hotel bar named Sapphire Bar is located at first floor with a pleasant seating either inside or outside on the terrace with great sea view. We have all-inclusive so you will never be hungry, only thirsty :). All I can say is lack of staff. Also snack like sandwitches, fries, ice cream...was available at the pool bar throughout the day. Bars are often crowded, only one person is working in the bar most of time. The lack of free places and waiters in the dining room. Drink order was ready often after the meal. It was incredible that big beer for all inclusive guest was included in menu (see photo), but they refused it to give at the pool bar! And if you ordered more than two drinks, they also refused. So if you wanted more than two drinks, you had to take someone with you or turn it again and wait the queue bar again. This hotel save on a such common things at guests . This is not all inclusive for me. When we were leaving, they made a roof at the pool bar, so now you can wait in a shade at the pool bar at least. Access to the sea is only from one side to the beach without a lifeguard and landscaping. But hotel had more gates to other beaches, that stayed locked. So if you wanted to go to the second beach that was more civilized with a bar, lifeguard and a modified beach, you had to go around the hotel by the sea. Surrounding area of the hotel does not offer much. About 3km from the hotel you find a nice port in Benalmadena, I recommend to see it at least once. The hotel offers 4 star services, but the quality is questionable. For me a little disappointment, I am used to better service already in 3 star hotels. Sorry, but for me it was the weakest hotel from last years. Collapse
