Three days in Venice (2 nights at this hotel) did so much to change my mind about the city from prior stays. The best thing about this hotel is its location: it is close to so many interesting little gems in Venice, and gives a sense of what the city can be if you avoid the tourist traps. Yet, it's not really that far from anything, and there is a vaporetto stop about 400-500m away. It is quiet at night, and during the day there are children playing in the nearby houses and parks. Not at all the fanny-packed war zone of other areas. The hotel itself is quite nice: the room was in the annex just across from the main building, was recently renovated and was clean and comfortable. It was also a very good size for Venice and at this rate. Breakfast was typical and quite appropriate. The staff was extremely professional and, although I knew my way around, I did overhear several of them offering help to other guests in English, Italian, and French. The only slight ding in an otherwise exceptional place was the wifi, which was non-functioning for the entire stay (as a warning, GSM was pretty weak in the area, if present). All in all, fully recommended: it will certainly be the first place I look on subsequent stays. Collapse

The hotel was perfect in a quiet location but easy access to everything, breakfast was great as were the staff for putting up with all our questions ! The room was spacious with good Venetian decor and mini bar was great and cheap ! We checked out very early before the breakfast time and they were good enough to offer us coffee and food for us in the morning and book us a water taxi to take us to the train station. Brilliant over all. Collapse

We stayed at this hotel after a cruise in August. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the Piazzale de Roma to this lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious, with lots of room for luggage. The bathrooms are also very spacious and clean! There are only 13 rooms so it is a quiet, small hotel which offers friendly service. There is a mini bar stocked with beverages which are extremely reasonably priced for Venice! The staff is more than willing to offer advice, give you a map, and point you in the direction of what you're looking for. They gave us some great dinner recommendations near the hotel and helped us better understand how to use the public transportation system which can be confusing if you're not used to mass city transit. We arrived very early, before our scheduled check in time of 3pm and they made our room their first priority to clean, to ensure we wouldn't have to wait all afternoon. They allowed to drop our bags free of charge which allowed us to go out enjoy the city while we waited for our room. The breakfast was definitely a highlight for me :). They offered a wonderful assortment of pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, fresh juices and made to order espresso beverages. A necessity when you have an early flight out of Venice or are looking to spend a day in the city! My only complaint is the bed. The bed and pillow was quite uncomfortable for me, but I will admit I am a feather pillow top mattress queen at home, so it was just much different than what I am used to in the comforts of my own home. This hotel is wonderful for the savvy traveler who is looking for a traditional Italian, quaint hotel with exceptional service! Collapse

We stayed at this hotel in March when we visited Venice and highly recommend! The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and extremely helpful. We had a room on the top floor and it was beautiful! Great size room and a brilliant location. On arrival a map was given to us and it was really helpful and talked through each point and some personal recommendations made. Breakfast was lovely, continental breakfast with lots of choice and everything was nice and fresh. Venice is an absolutely beautiful place and this is a perfect place to stay whilst you are there. If you are looking for something different to do over there we visited some of the islands and really enjoyed riding bikes along the beach in Lido and seeing the colourful houses in Burrano. Also recommend the spritz aperol, we enjoyed a lovely one at the hotel just before departing. Brilliant place!! Collapse
