We booked a suite here recently - the plan was to put baby to bed and relax in the sitting room of the suite. When we went to the room we found that neither TV was working and notified reception immediately. About an hour later we were notified that the TVs could not be fixed and were offered an identical suite a floor below. This was not ideal as our 2 yr old was just about to go asleep for the night and (yawn yawn i know but parents of a 2 yr old will understand!!) this disrupted things terribly. I understand that these things happen but management should be all over a situation like this. What really annoyed me was there was no offer or tea/coffee/drink or anything from the duty manager at the time. My wife doesn't drink so we were not looking for a free bar, but it is good practice to offer a free drink to smooth over an issue like this. I brought this up when checking out the next morning and the receptionist told me she would inform the duty manager of my dissatisfaction immediately. the receptionist agreed with me that they need to know of any customer issues as it gives the hotel an opportunity to address them in a timely manner. Needless to say, I haven't received a call or e mail from the hotel. In my opinion, there were two opportunities to address this situation and neither were taken. Poor service. Stayed here on 20th November. Collapse

Spent two nights in this hotel Fri and Sat last. On arrival found both the hotel and staff very pleasant and helpful while waiting to be joined by other family members we visited the Bistro for lunch. Food and service was again very good and competitively priced. We we were allocated two rooms on first floor over the main bar and bistro area close to lifts, all appeared to be good, rooms were nicely furnished and on first appearance clean. I had made this reservation some months back and had requested side by side rooms one with a cot as we had a toddler with us. The travel cot provided had dried vomit on both the top surround and down on to the mesh, very obvious, couldn't be missed in actual fact. Contacted reception and new cot was brought up. In second room cups provided for customer use were put on tray unwashed with tea and coffee rings on inside of both, again contacted reception cups replaced and we were all happy again. Wedding in hotel that evening and when we went for dinner 7.30 pm in Bistro the bar and wedding guests had more or less taken over the area staff were under severe pressure. We did get seats both in Bistro and bar following meals but very crowded with the wedding guests. Food and drinks were very pleasant again nicely priced. We went to our rooms around 9pm and then everything went downhill, children running around corridors unsupervised until almost midnight , smell of smoke all along corridor despite no smoking policy. Music vibrating through the floor and walls which we assumed was coming from wedding this continued until 1.00 am and then the racket started in the car park, shouting, banging of car doors drinking smoking etc. Was disappointed that hotel did not react to this bvoir in respect to sleeping paying guests those returning to roomy were loud and round shouting banging doors running on corridors again no reaction from staff. Noise in some shape or for continued until 3.00 am and at 4.00 am when we thought all had settled down a family row broke ou in room to next ours banging shouting etc. I spoke to reception following morning the usual apology followed was told music came from bar as we were staying Sat night they offered to move our rooms but we said it was ok as we assumed with no wedding things would be ok. I am mystified as to why they located people looking for a cot in rooms over a bar with music playing late. Visited soft play in the Dome attached to hotel during afternoon, staff again nice but area very unsupervised kids up to 10 and 11 in the under 3 area and nobody doing anything about it. I didn't complain but came away a bit aggrieved at a wasted €6 but couldn't risk having my grandchild hurt. Sat night music started in bar at 10.45 pm and again with a sleeping toddler who was being got up at 6.00 am to catch a flight I rang reception at 11.30 and was told music was due to go on until 12.30th I asked if volume at least could be lowered. I have to say this was the only hotel staff member I spoke to who was unpleasant. The music continued until 12.30 but the noise and racket in car park and around hotel entrance continued until after 3.00 am. We were up at 6.00 am and basically had spent two nights with no sleep. I did speak to reception again on Sunday morning when I checked out 11.30 but whereby they were nice and apologetic I think they considered this the norm and me a bit of a drama queen. The hotel itself was not cheap and there were a lot of families with children stayin but I'm afraid I won't visit again. I wasn't looking for anything extraordinary just a well managed hotel. They do need to review the smoking in the rooms and address the issue. This is probably long winded but was only way to explain. Collapse

We stayed here recently for 2 nights. We'd dinner included on both evenings. Food was excellent but menu was a bit limited . Would of liked maybe lasange, burgers just as we dined for 2 nights I would of liked more variety. Breakfast was very good also but found on the Sunday morning staff weren't as friendly or helpful. We weren't offered tea even. It was particularly cold last wknd and although our rooms were warm I found corridors freezing, reception and the 1st floor family area too. The decor in hotel was gorgeous, pool area was spotless and the bar was cosy and had a nice atmosphere. One of the nicest 4* hotels I've stayed in. Would definitely return !! Collapse

I had my daughters birthday party in the dome and they all had a great time. Would definitely recommend it. The kids food was lovely and service was great. Paul ( I think that's his name) is a great asset, explained what way they do it,this was great as it was our first time to have a party here. Darren was at the desk upon arriving, he also took the booking 3 weeks prior and he is so pleasant and friendly. He really took the time to engage with the kids. A real asset. Thanks again for great day. Collapse
