After a two day stop off here, we left fully refreshed. The room was an above average syle of hotel room that you may have found in just about any of its grade. The room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, an iron and an at least 50'' tv. The hotel is spotless and well worthy of its 4 star status. While we were there the weather was hot and sunny and the garden is a very relaxing place to enjoy some cold refreshments. We will stay here again. Collapse

My husband was here for business so this was just a short stay. Room was nice, clean, and large for U.K. Breakfast was better than most hotels: eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, fruit, cereal, and bread. Gym is great, and they have a great selection of classes, including Les Mills and spin. I took a Body Combat class with Emmy. She led a great class. As a Pump, Combat, Balance, Spin instructor myself, I do not say that lightly. Overall good Hotel to visit for a short stay. If on a holiday and staying longer, it does seem to be a bit out of the way, and not close to anything. Collapse

This is a regular, reliable Marriott Hotel. Rooms are of a high standard and found the staff to be be very keen to assist. Two things to point out. There is a serious lack of signage to the hotel until you are right there. Understand from reception staff that it is a common event for drivers to experience problems with their satnav in this area. Our satnav just stopped speaking. Some additional signage would be a help. Secondly the restaurant. Opens at 6pm but was not ready for us as they were still having some kind of staff meeting. We were met by a lot of glancing of watches. The menu had apparently been changed the day before. It was somewhat dull and lacking imagination. High prices in any hotel restaurant is to be expected but at least it can be made to be more interesting for a high price. The staff tried really hard to please so I did not feel able to comment on the boring menu. On the positive side the wifi is solid and reliable. Very large TVs in the rooms. Spotlessly clean. I felt the restaurant let the hotel down a little so I have given only 4 of the possible 5 stars. Collapse

We stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend and although the rooms were pleasant, we did not particularly like our stay here. They had weddings both on Saturday and Sunday night and they just let wedding guests roam wild and drunk in the premises. I am fully aware that weddings are usually noisy and lively affairs and there is nothing wrong with that. But, this hotel is not a private venue, there were other guests too and the hotel management did nothing to make us and other suffering guests feel comfortable. Our first room was located just above the meeting rooms area where the wedding was held and the music went on until at least 2am. We complained at 11pm but the receptionist said it'd end at midnight. This turned out to be a white lie so we went back to complain and there was nobody at reception and no staff members anywhere in the hotel. We saw drunken people wandering around, shouting and screaming in the lobby and everywhere like it was their private venue. The next day we complained again and got a room far away from the meeting rooms so we slept better. The breakfast was great though, if only they had pain of chocolat and yoghurts it'd be practically perfect. We didn't try the pool as it was always rammed with screaming kids but it looked ok. Rooms were spacious and bed was comfortable. So again, no problem with this hotel other than the lack of consideration of guests when there's a wedding. Why don't you locate guests who aren't part of the wedding as far from the venue as possible? Common curtesy. And have staff members available 24/7, especially when there's a wedding. Collapse

Staff are friendly that's the best thing about the hotel. The bathrooms need a upgrade cracked tiles and worn fittings. The towels are well past they best. The room was expensive considering it didn't include breakfast. Breakfast was 14.95 extra. We had 2 coffee sachets asked for more and was given 4. Entrance smells strongly of chlorine. Wouldn't stay again, I think there are better choices available. Collapse
