We are staying here currently and a few of us have had our apartment broken into. Key card stops working then you find you've been fleeced of any cash and anything worth reselling. (Even newly opened after shave) cases gone through. Johanna on desk is particularly helpful. Such a shame as it's an ideal place to stay central to everything. On arriving back from the local "police station" a large group of males are pool side with a speaker....shouting, swearing, chanting, singing......all very well if you're on an 18-30s. Sad end to what started as promising. Would not return. Apparently there's a security....I use the term loosely.....door on floor 7......people let themselves in.....have been known to knock on room doors at night posing as reps. Collapse

Booked 2 weeks in this ideal for families hotel. The two apartment blocks at the front are just for groups of party goers. The pool area from 2pm on a daily basis is just full of young drunks swearing shouting and drinking from glass bottles in the pool. People were taking there children out of the pool away from them. This is not a family hotel it is full of groups but they are putting families in the apartments at the back at the top. So the poor families are having to share the pool with them when they get up after 2pm. Our children hated every minute there due to rowdy large groups shouting and swearing. Also the two apartments next to the pool have young groups drinking running in and out to the pool area. Also on a daily basis when you go down to the pool area people are still drunk laid on sun beds fast asleep with empty bottles of beer underneath the sun bed. Would never stay here again with children. I have got some photo evidence but will put on here after I have sorted my complaint with the travel agent. The apartment was fine and staff very welcoming. Felt sorry for the maids who had to clean up the rooms from the groups. Which you could see in every morning as I walked out to the pool. Collapse

Booked these apartments on Monday - arrived Saturday for a last minute spot of sun sea and relax. On arrival we were welcomed with a smile and booked in immediately, I had read about the noise from the street and Johana on reception allayed our fears (as we were in room 209 on the second floor) and suggested we not unpack all our stuff till the following day in case we wanted to change rooms. The balcony of the room over looked the main strip and on the occasions we sat out of an evening gave us something to look at, there was a bit of noise up the road towards the Irish bars - but this was usually early on (7ish) but after that it seemed to calm down. We never got disturbed once by the bars/cafes outside as the bedrooms were inward facing away from the street, had a great weeks sleep. The apartment was very comfortable(we had a 1 bedroom apt), with kettle, toaster, microwave, hob and fridge. The only negative I'd raise is that there was no storage facility for food stuffs (besides fridge) we ended up using microwave to store bread and biscuits (not wanting to attract ants etc).As these are recently refurbished the whole apartment was very nice - bedrooms had plenty of storage space, bathroom had a good standard shower etc. We hired the safe for a week at 3euro per day - had aircon in the bedroom and living area which worked exceptionally well and was free. The pool area and bar/café area was clean and tidy and as the week went on they seemed to find some more parasols for the sun beds. Have to say the food by the pool (though basic) was of a good standard and value for money - as was the lager - a well kept pint and lovely and refreshing. The average age around the pool did however plummet after 2pm - when the young clubbers emerged from their pits lol - but while we were there this caused no problem (quite enjoyed their music truth be told). NEGATIVE - was the cleaning or lack of it ,cleaners come in every other day - but just made bed and replaced towels - floors weren't brushed or mopped, soap & shampoo not replenished - luckily there was a dust pan and brush , so this was my chore for the week. POSITIVE - All the reception staff very friendly and helpful , especially the lovely Johana made our stay even more enjoyable with tips , advise and general chit chat. Would I recommend Sub Beach apartments - yes without a doubt excellent value for money great location (300mtrs to beach) and friendly staff. Collapse

Spent a week here with two friends. Fab apartments, newly refurbished for this summer. We had a one bed apartment with a sofa bed in the living area. The sofa bed hadn't been made up when we got in the apartment so we had to ask for bedding and a third chair for the balcony. Very handy for the lovely beach with a supermarket just up the street. Air conditioning was free, which was just as well, as we had to close the doors on a night due to the noise from the apartment block next door, which was occupied entirely by young Irish groups who partied every night. Santa ponsa is a lovely resort, with plenty of places to eat and drink. We spent a few evenings at The Square, where there is nightly entertainment. Collapse

We had a lovely apartment with a large private terrace and a sea view (small extra charge). It was very clean, modern and comfortable. There were restaurants, shops and bars in close proximity and the beach was only a short walk away. The only negative was the air conditioning, which dripped water on the bedroom floor for the whole week. We reported it but the management said it was "una problema gorda" and that it needed a hole knocked in the wall to fix it, so we had to use a bucket and towels to contain the drips. Collapse
