I recently stayed at the Stewart while in NYC for a work trip. When my coworker and I arrived at the Stewart we were welcomely greeted by a staff member named Curtis. (The lobby was beautiful by the way). Curtis escorted us up front and introduced us to his associate Andrew. It was my coworkers first time in NYC and Andrew took it upon himself to check and see if there was any way to upgrade our room! The room we ended up with had the most stunning views of the city! Andrew made sure to check in with us and make sure we loved the room (how could we not with views like that). Other than the amazing city views, the room was clean and surprisingly spacious. Thanks Andrew and Curtis for making our stay at the Stewart a wonderful experience! I will definitely be staying here again! Collapse

As a boxing promoter (Top Rank Boxing), there's no other place we would stay when working in New York. The amazing view and outstanding staff make the stay spectacular. We've been coming to the hotel for the past 14 years and will not stay any where else. My favorite part of the stay is knowing i will get to see Sandra McKoy and Pampa Dolma. They are two of the best ladies you will every come in contact with making sure your rooms are A plus courteous and friendly with such a perfect personality... I just love those two...then theres Sharon Lewis and Domingo, Housekeeping Supervisors not to mention Julio Gomez and Jampa. Thank you Mary Perez for always taking such good care of all our logistic needs. Mr. GM, you rock! and can't forget about the front desk staff Andrew, Jenna, Nana, Diesel, and Eugy thank you for always treating Top Rank like family. Collapse

Wow, what can I say. I had the best stay I have ever had in NYC at The Stewart Hotel and from start to finish we were made to feel so welcome. After spending a week in Florida, it was time to come and have three nights at The Stewart however unfortunately our flight to JFK was delayed by over 8 hours. I emailed the hotel and Skylar assured me that there was nothing to worry about and that our room was being held for our arrival. We arrived at the hotel at approx. 02:00hrs and were warmly greeted by staff on the desk and within a few minutes we were checked in and on our way up to our room on the 26th floor. We were so tired and disappointed that we had lost a full evening in NYC due to the delay, however that was soon made up by the room that we had and the large outside space. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and we had two double bedrooms and three bathrooms as well as a kitchen area and large outside terrace. The weather when we arrived was poor, with heavy rain and low cloud however the next morning we awoke to views that you could only dream of. Out of the bedrooms you looked out across midtown and towards The Hudson and New Jersey and from the kitchen and out on the terrace you had spectacular views of downtown and The World Trade Centre. Location, location, location everything is on your doorstep which includes Penn Station, Macys and subways that whisk you the length and breadth of Manhattan. The staff could not do enough to help and were an absolute pleasure and could not do enough to help. Added bonuses included staying in a traditional hotel, with lots of character and charm and overall I highly enjoyed my stay at The Stewart and I hope to stay there again real soon on my next visit to The Big Apple. It was superb and I have come away with wonderful memories of what was again another wonderful visit to NYC and one of my friends who I travelled with thought the whole experience was wonderful. Only drawback is the resort charge, I wish that this would just be included in the room price, instead of being added on separately but that did not detract from our overall stay. Big thank you to Skylar for everything you really are a true credit to The Stewart and you really did make our stay the very best. If visiting NYC and you want a hotel in a great location, with great staff and comfortable rooms then it has to be The Stewart. Collapse

Attended a hedge fund legal conference for three days, and stayed at the Stewart for two nights. Clean, stylish, quiet room, sleek contemporary lobby, incredibly friendly and responsive front desk professionals (thank you, Andrew!), and a lively lobby restaurant. Easily conducted two business meals in the restaurant with patient and accommodating waiters. Strongly recommended for any business traveler who needs the convenience of a large chain hotel, and yet prefers the ambience of a cozier and friendlier establishment. Collapse

** disclaimer - I stayed here in November before the name change which I believe took place inDecember. When you first walk in you are immediately greeted by a very modern decor. The reception desk is to the right and slightly hidden by big massive pillars. The employees working there were very friendly and helpful. I stayed here for a week in a suite style room with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a bedroom, and two bath rooms. The rooms were spacious and mostly updated. The configuration of the rooms were odd with multiple little closes. I have never seen so many doors in a hotel room. Although the decor had been updated the air conditioning and Windows had not been. I called maintenance to help me with the windows because I could not get the top portion of the window closed and could hear the outside noise very loud. The windows are very old and thin. I was on the 21st floor and even with the windows completely closed it still sounded like traffic was right outside my window. I felt bad for my coworker. He was on the fourth floor and said it sounded like traffic was driving through his room. Use ear plugs!! This is common in NYC Do not forget your room key. You need it to access the elevator. I did not eat at the restaurants in the hotel. Collapse
