Good location for a city visit if you can find it (taxi can not drop you off in front of it, so still need to walk a little bit), very convenient afterwards. They advertise "more a home than a hotel..." well to me it was not. I never got that feeling of being home. There is the lack of fresh air in the hotel, always have to use the airco and in the corridors it was always hot and smelt not fresh at all. The breakfast buffet is not of the best quality and even after three days (the duration of our stay) I was glad I could eat somewhere else. It's all there but the food missed a lot of love and care and simply was below average quality wise. The coffee was not good either. Also you have to ask your room to be cleaned in the weekend, well it should be the other way round. Nevertheless : the price was good, the room (we had a suite with separate living room) was certainly big enough and although they stuck us on the lowest floor still no noise from outside, so had a good sleep. The staff was friendly enough, so all in all I score it a 4/5 but I am not that sure to return, will have a think about it. Collapse

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times. The rooms are decorated nicely and for the most part quiet. I did however find the air conditioning thing very annoying. There was a humming from the air conditioning and if you didn't read the notice on the notice board of your room which I didn't at first, you would think by switching it off on the wall it would work however this doesn't stop the humming. Then by reading the notice it said to try turning off the bathroom light I tried this but the notice also said that it would turn off itself at 12am and will come back on at 5pm. That was a bit of a pain as I hate air conditioning in a room I am sleeping in. The last time I was there I was give a lovely room with separate kitchen facilities from my bedroom. We did have a fire scare in the building during the night and when we were leaving the building staff were walking. By us on the stairs and giving no direct on where we were supposed to go but this is probably because they weren't sure where the fire was either, in all they handled the situation very well. The hotel is perfectly comfortable and has everything you need if you are staying there for a while. The area outside the hotel however I found a little off putting you will get asked for change a lot through your walk to the shops however the hotel can't stop this. I would return to this hotel the only thing that prevents me for now is the humming from the air conditioning. Collapse

We were primarily in Birmingham to meet a cousin that I had not seen in years and a cousin that I had never met so we were there for 2 nights. My wife selected this spot to stay as she usually does and I have to say that I was impressed with the whole structure of the hotel. It was very comfortable, however some the seats in the lounge area were similar to another hotel that we stayed at and you can slide out of them but fortunately there were others so you had a choice. The room or should I say our room I found very comfortable and user friendly shower taps were a bit on the awkward side. I am on a campaign against the shower taps in the UK. Getting to reception means a trip to the Second Floor but that doesn't take long to work out and the staff were very happy and obliging. Laundry. Now this bit is good, they have their own guest laundry and it is very easy to use. All in all we were very happy with what was on offer, its location was wonderful to us and yeah I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Breakfast: This was very good so no complaints there. In fact there was no complaints about anything to do with this accommodation. So yes recommended. Collapse

You live in your room with a fully equipped kitchen, and you have even a little supermarket in the lobby. The Management do its best for making customers socialoize between them, with is events organized around a very confortable hall from Monday to Thursday. For a long stay, it will be difficult to beat. Collapse
