Voted the Number One Hotel in the UK in The Sunday Times Magazine’s 2011 Top 100 Hotels in the World. This spectacular Victorian masterpiece has been lovingly restored and is being hailed as London's most romantic building. The St Pancras Renaissance London Hotel features Gothic Revival metalwork, gold leaf ceilings, hand-stencilled wall designs and the grand staircase - still as dazzling as the day the hotel opened in 1873.
Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott to receive travellers through St Pancras Station, the former Midland Grand Hotel offered its guests a world of grandeur, luxury and fantasy behind its fairytale red facade. In 2011, the doors of this luxury hotel in London open once again, offering guests a world of timeless elegance and modern comforts.
The Gilbert Scott Restaurant is operated by renowned chef Marcus Wareing and entices guests with its fine selection of classic British dishes. Alternatively, The Booking Office restaurant features an array of punches and mixed drinks recreated from the Victorian era, perfect for accompanying the exquisite dishes available throughout the day and evening.
For true escapism, visit the St Pancras Renaissance London Hotel's superb spa and fitness centre. Relax, unwind and pamper with a wide range of luxurious body treatments for men and women. A perfect way to unwind after a day exploring the sights of The Capital.

Requested an early check in and had to wait until 4pm until the room was ready! (one hour after it should have been ready). No compensation was offered. The check in took about 15 minutes too - probably trying to waste a little time so I didn't have so long to wait for the room. The room and hotel were nice, food and service in the Chambers club was good. You can get a full evening meal here. It would be helpful if the times of the food were better advertised. The room was a bit noisy as it overlooked the platform at St Pancras and I didn't get much sleep. Collapse

This hotel can be appreciated (or judged) on many levels. It's an historic building with some amazing architectural features, well worth a look even if you're not staying there. Having said that, almost all guests will be staying in the Barlow Wing, a modern block behind the main frontage. Here the style is modern and efficient, comfortable rooms with good facilities, but not remarkable. The rooms were notably quiet. The location is perfect, though don't think of driving your own car there. Within 100 yards you can catch a train to large parts of the UK, not to mention Paris and Brussels. It's also served by four main Underground lines so you can travel around London very conveniently. In the historic part of the building there are bars and restaurants with style and elegance. They're not cheap, but if you're on a budget you can walk out on to the concourse where there are plenty of eating places where you can watch the world go by. Finally the staff were all friendly and efficient, and not at all snooty. Top marks to receptionist Lori for checking us in an hour early and finding a room to suit our needs. No-one could describe this hotel as inexpensive, though if you check their own website you can find some deals, however staying there is an experience in itself. Collapse

A wonderful restored old hotel. Staff and service were excellent. We had a great room on the corner with a view of the street and it was very quiet. Lively bar and Chambers Club lounge was excellent. Great location at King's Cross and easy access to trains and underground. Has a great Veuve Clicquot bar outside with lovely tables and heater. A grand hotel. Would recommend and will return when I am in London again. Collapse

After a good recommendation, myself and 4 friends booked for dinner on 18th December. We started with ordering 5 cocktails in the Foyer - after a 20 minute wait the waitress delivered 4 of the cocktails while one person was left waiting a further 10 minutes. Moving into the Booking Office Restaurant we had the same experience - after much difficulty in finding a member of staff with the time and inclination to take our order we again waited a long time for drinks and again only 4 cocktails brought to the table with a 5th being brought 5 minutes later. There were two fish dishes not available which left limited choice for the two vegetarians in the group. When the food was eventually delivered it was at best lukewarm with 2 main courses being sent back as they were cold. The service was very slow and very poor and the quality of food shameful. Would never recommend using this venue. Collapse

I had a few issues when booking my room at the St. Pancras hotel with Marriott so I got in contact directly with the hotel and had a very nice reply from Maira Eckermann (Guest Experience Manager). She was very accommodating and helped make the stay extremely enjoyable. I was travelling with my disabled mother so it was great having the Chambers Club close at hand for afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks before eating at the amazing Gilbert Scott restaurant. The staff in the Chambers Club were very helpful and kind and we had a good breakfast there the following morning. The hotel, and in particular the lobby, were decorated beautifully for Christmas.
