Booked this as a last minute getaway, and we got what we paid for. The location of the hotel was not great for us as there were no bars etc around it. There were 2 cafes nearby and the Amos Boulevard was very good for an afternoon snack and reasonably priced. The grounds and gardens were lovely and well kept. The swimming pool is not heated and fairly deep at 2.75 to 3 mtrs. There was an area divided off and advertised as a child area but this went up to 0.6 mtrs fairly quickly, not the normal shallow kiddies pool you would expect. There were plenty of sunbeds ( although almost half were broken) and umbrellas. The main entrance to the Restaurant was up 3 flights of stairs, although there was a back entrance you could use if you had mobility problems, but this was not well sign posted and we only found it on our last night. The restaurant is cramped, it looks like they have extended the hotel and forgotten about seating in the restaurant. The food was normal buffet fayre, although they did have a fresh cook station with two choices of meat and two of fish. The dishwasher could do with an overhaul as most of the glasses were dirty. There was live entertainment every night in the bar. No comment on the bar staff who ignored me and served someone else. We were in Room 415, there was a lift but this room is right at the top and at the end of a corridor and noise travels so you could here every sound when people were going out and in. The room itself was fine and looked as if it had some refurbishment. There is no balcony in this room. There was building work in the block twice which we weren't told about, very noisy knocking holes in walls. complaining to reception had no effect. The safe was 23 Euros for the week and we got a 5 Euro deposit back on leaving. Overall our experience of the staff was that there were a couple who were helpful but the majority made me feel as if I was an inconvenience. Collapse

Having booked this hotel as a last minute 'cheapy', I was then really worried when I read some of the reviews. I found this a very comfortable, clean, quiet hotel. I had read comments about poor food, dirty rooms and rude staff. This was not my experience at all. I had no reason to complain about any aspect of my holiday (apart from the Thomsons reps, but that's another story!), our room was cleaned regularly, the beds and towels were changed, the staff were pleasant and there was a good choice of food. There was a courtesy bus down to the town and back but, if you had no mobility problems, it was a nice stroll through the park to get there. I asked for extra pillows, they were delivered almost immediately. This hotel is an ideal venue for a quiet holiday, I wouldn't recommend it for families. Most of the clientele was 50 plus. This was fine for us as that's our age group! The only thing I would suggest is to ask for a ground floor room if you have any mobility problems, as there are no lifts. Collapse

Great landscaped setting and convenient for town, this hotel looks initialy to be firmly 4 star rating. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The buffet style food failed to change during our week there though. We breakfasted daily which was ok. We only dined there once and found it to be disappointing, though fair value. The rooms were fine, good heating and ac system: the maid service was excellent and cleaned daily. There was only bbc world on the TV, but there was a small library of donated books at reception. Evening entertainment was poor, with a lack of dynamism and variety. Watch out for the 24 hour towel reservations around the pool! Collapse

Booked a last minute getaway and was amazed at this little gem for the price Very quiet hotel, not for party animals ! and kids may find it boring,We were only bed and breakfast which was very good. our room was big, bright and clean, we had a terrace which led out onto a grassed area. The pool area was beautiful and immaculate. Staff very friendly and helpful. There are a couple of cafes and supermarkets just minutes away, although a bit of a walk into town, but only 3.50 euros in a taxi, there is plenty of restaurants and bars, and loads of shopping, but the nicest thing is that it the town has maintained its Canarian quality with its lovely old buildings Collapse

On arrival I was unsure, our hotel room was small- dark and out of the way, we had a terrace but it was over shadowed by the rooms above and right next to the toilet block- needless to say not very pleasant. However, apart from that and the dated decor all the public parts of the hotel were beautiful. As many reviews say the gardens were lovely. Food a plenty and very nice, breakfast especially, they cater for everything! It's a bit of a walk to town down a very steep hill, it's the coming back up that kills you. We're a young couple and the hotel mainly consisted of retired Germans 'don't mention the war' - but all in all very nice and we would come back no doubt about it. Collapse
