I stayed here with 4 other members of my family after reading reviews of it and choosing it over a few other hotels. I was extremely disappointed. First and foremost, the rooms are definitely not to 4 star standard, no kettle, no tea or coffee. Nobody even offered to help us take our luggage to our rooms. We opted for full board so that we wouldnt have to worry about food or drinks, however, upon having our first lunch, we realised that we had to pay for our own drinks, this too in over 30 degree weather?Once we realised this, we went to the local shops to pick up some drinks as the prices in the hotel were extortionate - but then we were not allowed to take our own drinks into the food area. The plates were not cleaned properly and the food was mislabelled a lot of the time, which meant that if you had dietary requirements or allergies, you may have ended up eating the wrong food. When it came to requesting an iron, we had to give a 20 euro deposit and then pay to use it - this was definitely something appalling for a "4 star" hotel. I definitely would not recommend staying here. Collapse

Well i was a bit unsure at first about this hotel because of the mixed reviews but due to it being a 4 star i thought we would give it a go. we got a reasonably good deal and it included the waterpark and theme park so thats what edged me towards booking it. This was my 4th time to Salou and this hotel was my first and defo the last time I will stay here. Rooms - Cleaned on a daily basis. The housekeepers clearly worked hard. Air con good but a tip to get a spare key card and leave it running while you go out because otherwise, the room is like a sauna when you return. Food - DISGUSTING if you do not like fish because that what was on nearly every night. We had two children and they did not like anything from the buffet. I mean tandori tripe and shark nuggets re not excatly child friendly so the children resorted in pasta every night. Flies and bugs flying round the buffet food which was a put of and then mouldy tomatoes which put me right off. All in all, the waiters clearly worked hard and was very pleasant apart from one. My sister asked her for a plastic cup for the toddler as it would be dangerous for him to hold a glass of juice and she tutted and said i cannot get you one. my sister persisted and said we need it because he is a toddler for her to storm off in a unprofessional way. This was reported to the manager but no apology was given. The hotel was clean throughout and the animation team were fantastic. They made sure they got all the adults and children were involved in daily pool activities and they work hard. However, the evening entertainment was tailored for the Spanish so you could not enjoy the shows in the evening because you couldn't understand them. I like the evening entertainment and usually at other hotels, they speak in English and Spanish but it seemed there were more Spanish present. The final straw of this hotel was on the last day. We checked out at 12pm and then headed down for lunch to be told we was no longer a guest therefore was not entitled to lunch. I was not bothered because the food wasnt the best but wanted to try and get something for the children before the flight home. We advised the staff of this but was advised there was nothing that could be done. I even offered to pay but the waiter said no. I then asked the manager and advised that this was service to be again told no. We advised that some nights we had not eaten there and surely they could make an exception because we was not travelling until the evening. The manager then said she would have to check on the books to see if that was true. In the end they let us into the restaurant after waiting an hour while they was serving other customers and checking their records. Pathetic. The service was disgusting. The receptionist also said that we could shower on the day we checked out so the kids could have some time in the pool before departure but again was told the spa was not open and there was no rooms for us to go in. I do want to point out the waiter / bar person in the inside room who managed the British bar was lovely. his customer service skills were second to none and his English was very good. All in all, i would not recommend this to a friend and i defo would not stay here again. You get better service from a crab stick Collapse

This was our second time at hotel and again thanks to excellent staff and service made this another great family stay. Special thanks to Rosi who always takes time out for the kids and makes us all feel very welcome. I had got in touch with hotel directly as a special request to have same room as our previous stay and although I couldn't remember the room number I got swift reply with previous details and confirmation of our request, fantastic. Will definitely return to this hotel next time we stay in Salou. Collapse
