Despite what you see on the website about the rooms, don't believe it! We saw no point in engaging in conversation with the reluctant staff and ended up moving after the first night to a much superior and honest hotel. We only stayed the night because our travel agent couldn't do anything sooner. The rooms are poorly equipped (not even simple basics such as a hot drinks tray) and poorly constructed....the furniture is worn and very dated. The fixtures and fittings in the bathroom were rusted and the tiles had mould. Even before getting to the room we walked out of the dirty lift into a corridor that stank of cannabis! Once in our room, we were hit with the deeply ingrained smell of washing that had been left to dry in the machine, only then to discover this was the bedsheets and also the shower curtain! In general, the fixtures and fittings were crooked, the empty fridge was broken and almost fell out of the cupboard it was in when we opened the door. There was thick dust on the bedsteads and the window sill (which was in a poor state itself). Amongst other things, the slide-robe door (mirrored) was so broken, when my daughter opened it, she trapped her hand between the mirror and the hand grip edging hurting herself. Had we not been there to prise the two apart who knows what damage could have occurred to her! We did tell the staff about this but they couldn't have been less interested! Lastly, we pre-ordered baseball tickets to the hotel. My husband asked for them and was told categorically that they had not arrived. I knew different as I had the confirmation of delivery receipt. It gave the name of whom the tickets were handed to in the hotel. When I approached the staff regarding this, the woman I spoke to turned out to be the named one in the delivery confirmation. A quick disappearance into the back and the tickets magically appeared with said woman saying...oh yes, it was raining the day they came. We got the tickets and left the hotel for good. It felt weird that the tickets onlymaterialised once I had given a name...just saying... Anyway, I appreciate others may have differing views but when you pay a great deal for your holiday...pay to go elsewhere. Collapse

The was ok and the location was good. The only. Ad thing is that the website is very deceiving. Even thought we call-ahead if time to verify parking charges would be at a discounted rate for guest they, did not disclose that a a second vehicle would be 50$ per day. We drove separately since my friends and I were coming from different locations. It would have been nice to let us know ahead of time. And as far as the parking we found out later on that they leave your keys on the back of each vehicle and when you arrive a sign is posted out side that they are not responsible for your vehicle in the garage. We stayed here for 4 nights having booked a package with Virgin Holidays. We were very happy with our room on the 5th floor, which overlooked 10th Ave and had views of the lights of Times Square in the distance. There was noise from the street, (New Yorkers love their car horns even in the middle of the night) but nothing we couldn't sleep through. We had 2 double beds and they were one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. Even though the weather was cold, we didn't need to put on any heating in the room. The bathroom was adequate for our needs with very nice complimentary toiletries, 4 bath, hand towels and flannels per day. There is an iron and board in the cupboard which was very handy. A kettle and tea/coffee making is one thing that would have been useful though, but there is a deli across the road and my husband would pop over each morning to get a fresh coffee, a lot cheaper than the restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel is situated 3 blocks from Times Square and the nearest subway station. On our last day we left our luggage at $1 per bag so we could make the most of this great city before we flew home. Overall we were quite happy and would consider staying again. Collapse

Hotel is nice enough if only staying for business trips. But for a family on vacation the rooms are quite basic for what you're paying for. Cleaning staff are by far the nicest and always kept the room impeccable. Definitely needs free wifi, must be making a mint off customers paying daily. If the hotel made a few adjustments it would be rated highly. In a perfect location in reach of Times Square and Central park. Collapse
